Thanks for what you do m8, really love zoning out to your air SB content. If I’ve ever gone a while since playing the game mode and I see one of your vids, I instantly get the urge to dust off the ol’ HOTAS and trackIR 5.
It’s so much fun getting lost in hours of air SB EC, if more people would give it a solid try they would be hooked for sure.
Gaijin should do more to promote their sim game modes they truely have the most in-depth gameplay to offer.

14:12 My god that was an ambitious sparrow launch. Miracle it even hit IMO. I usually don't shoot my Aim-7's until I'm within ~25k (~15.5 miles) and am usually above 6500m (~21,000ft) going as fast as possible in a loft profile. Dude had a MAW and just refused to defend XD
I don’t feel confident in my sparrows above 10 miles much less 20 lmao that was an insane snipe
@@NathanIrizarry1 At high altitudes, usually 30km or closer is the "Notch or die" range for Aim-7F/M. So I tend to close a bit within that before letting one off in a loft. Usually don't even consider shooting Beyond 35km, but sometimes, if I'm going mach fuck at 10,000m or something, I'll get goofy and let one off at 45km just to see if it hits (sometimes it does funnily enough)

I've been having a lot of success using the targeting pod on the Harrier GR7, if you use the laser designator then it'll put a marker on your HUD which makes navigating easier. Plus you can track targets without any RWR pings. That + smokeless Aim 9Ms is brutal even on a subsonic, let alone an F-16.

@@jacopodefelicibus1838 If the F-4S can use a targeting pod, then it will. There's controls you can bind for toggling the laser designator and setting a target point, the latter you can use to lock up aircraft and ground targets, and the former will show a small green circle on your HUD when activated.

What works best imo is using SRC PD to look for targets and then switching to TWS Narrow that also has more elevation-coverage to track targets

That RWR thing has been happening forever, the rwr tells you not only where any radar is but also what that radar is doing, thats why now it tells you theres a launch etc where used to be just the sweep and locks. If you position allies on low 12 or low 6 you wont get rwr cause thats where most planes have a blond spot

Has the spotting been real buggy for you too. In sim VR I've been having a real hard time finding a/c and then all the sudden, they render in or just disappear.

Looking through footage I have saved from before patch, the black dots were easily visible in ranges of 10 to 20 miles. After patch, the dots hardly appear until 10 miles and even then are much harder to spot and track. Not sure if this is the same for everyone but i play sim exclusively on ps5 and it makes me not want to play until its changed
@deandrem.c226 yess, I was flying top tier and I had to keep my eyes glued to my radar to find a guy that's one mile on my nose, they also removed that black blur that was around aircraft, but to put the cherry on top they also did something with the rendering of aircraft. I went into a merge with some aircraft and they vanish. All of these bugs/changes happened when they released the latest update. I fly in vr and I cannot find shit to fight cause I can't see shit!

I remember when America was so OP, no one would play them. No one would join a game against America. It briefly leveled out and then some countries were even better than America. However with the introduction of the F16s, once again, no wants to play against America. No point in it. You just loose.

heh. history repeats itself. I played a couple of sim matches and i stopped. Mig29 has no chances left and Viggen is just bad.
How long did the mig 23s and mig27s dominate with no counter.. especially in ground rb where no aa could touch the mig27k because it yoyo'ed from outer space..
@@Roguecjb max range of kh25ml is 10km, and you need to launch at that marker. Meanwhile US with the thermals can just climb to space and never even get close to spaa range. Youre really picky when it comes to this stuff....
@@goliath3413 You clearly didnt go through what im talking about, not only could you not detect them because they would fly over your radar (adats) but you could barely aim at them because your turret wouldnt look up high enough. This was also before jets left giant contrails for easy spotting, by the time you noticed you had a bomb flying at you and were dead no matter what. You had to aim in third person just to try and thread a needle at a shot to kill them. Im being picky? Youre making up scenarios that dont happen. People fly low, pop up and toss bombs now because the pantsir and other spaa dont let you fly high anymore. Thats why the yoyo migs dont ever do it anymore because spaa in general (not USA at all) has gotten significantly better.
You should try the J32B in sim, pretty nice plane there

I've seen you dabble in DCS. You might have better luck in the F-16C playing on Growling Sidewinder's server. It has somewhat similar gameplay but obviously with DCS's higher fidelity flight models and access to AIM-120Cs and AIM-9Xs. The one in DCS does not have AIM-7s but who needs them with AMRAAMs. At least on Growling Sidewinder you should have better matches with people on both teams.

There are 3 or 4 buttons int controls that you can bind. Just look for "MFD"

I wish I knew why the non US side still empties out like this. It was bad when repair costs were horrible. Why still though? I would find myself only flying the mig 29 against 10 F14s and F16s. It was fun, but why do the riskiest always leave? It isn't like they can't win.

You're answering your own question.
repair costs are still bad. Also, right now its this bad because 1) new F-16 hype 2) Mig-29 nerfed into the ground, literally bleeds so much speed in slight turns, Mirage 2K holds its speed better lol 3) Aim-9M's are busted in Sim, smokeless trail means you don't see them and unlike the TY-90's IRCCM/ECCM, these get the good ol' US bias and it ignores pre-flaring. All this combined, why would anybody subject themselves to this?
@CassiusGreen repair costs are massively better then they were. Even without premium bonus, I end up equal at worst in an EC.
@silent_j6198 I honestly don't feel they are nearly as bad. I have yet to lose sl in a match since the first big adjustment. True eith the hype, and 9m being strong. The 27er, and R-73 combo is very strong as well. The underpowered engines on the smt absolutely need adjustment. I stand by my position of that there is balance to a point. SMT wins bvr, and close range in missles. F-16 wins in mid range and dogfights.
I really don't know, I will be trying the 29 again soon though. Apparently it's RWR has been changed.

Am I the only one who thinks that they ruined the Visuals last patch?! The game looks so shitty and you can’t spot enemies anymore… I have the suspicion that the game is forcing DLSS no matter what I chose because my frames doubled with the last patch, but the game looks make it unplayable for me now…
I'm not sure, I don't have an Nvidia card.
