JAPANESE AMBASSADOR HIROSHI SUZUKI VISITS NAGALAND

Japanese Ambassador, Hiroshi Suzuki arrived IN Nagaland on a two-day visit on April 23. Suzuki was accompanied by a team of counsellors from the Embassy who visited various historical places in and around Kohima including Heritage Village Kisama, World War Museum, War Cemetery, Kohima Cathedral etc. During the visit, He also interacted with members involved with collecting bones of World War II Japanese soldiers buried in and around Kohima. Taking to twitter, Suzuki said: “Visited Nagaland for the first time. I had a fabulous lunch with 3 ladies from the Kohima Japanese Bone Collecting Team. They have been contributing to the Japanese bone collection mission for decades. I very much enjoyed the local delicacies of Nagaland.” It is to be noted that the Ambassador also met with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and talked about the historical ties between Japan and Nagaland
