Armored Core 6 has shown that the genre can definitely still kick ass. Hoping that Gundam performs well too.
Gundam extreme vs is great. GBO is still going. The problem is Bandai seems to be hesitant for some reason with the West and just keep on changing the games for the worst when bringing it to the west.

Sure they might lose some arcade revenue but they will earn from foreigners too. They did try this before with gundam versus but that is a disgrace to exvs

@@ryanhorton9594 Bandai cares greatly for Gundam. It is so polished in anime. Not flawless, but feels like care and quality in almost everything. The other business is great too. Alot of the gunpla and other merchandise like model figures are high standards usually. Rarely bad and usually fixed with an updated version.
Gundam games on the other hand. Mixed bag. Battle gundam series is awesome. Gundam Evo implored too soon. Gundam VS Extreme is great, but the newer ones have not gotten to the west yet so we struck with our last title being IBO S1 only the latest there.
definitely buying this. That new customization feature where you're able to remove parts such as thr Rx-78's V fin is such a good addition

Looks like they have gone back to Gundam Breaker 3 and just improved that which is good! New Breaker was a completely different type of game compared to the older entries they tried to make it appeal more to the western market but clearly didn't understand the fan base lol

I'm sooooo hyped for this game. I have put hundreds of hours into GB3, even playing it as recently as a few days ago. I am so ready to sink hundreds more hours into this new game as well.
The asymetric dual wielding is SO big for me. ALL of my builds in GB3 use either a fast weapon with a heavy option part weapon, or a heavy weapon with fast option part weapon. Now I don't have to feel locked into specific gunpla parts that have those skills attached to them or use up my builders parts slot setting them that way. I can just equip one weapon of each type. I'm so exited to see how close I can get to my dream mobile suit in this new game.

I'm so excited for this. op skills being on a global cooldown is a bit of a bummer, but the new wacky stuff you can do makes up for it imo

I'll be honest for me I loved playing Gundam breaker 3 on the PlayStation Vita. Gundam breaker 3 was my first Gundam breaker. I look forward to playing Gundam breaker on the go once more.

Bandai Namco has a pretty regular history of using Denuvo, unfortunately.
@@cptncutleg frig, I forgot about the anticheat issues, maybe, if they do anti-cheat, they'll do the Linux version too.
Technically Anti-cheat can work on Linux, most developers are just to lazy to implement it (I would hope with the popularity of the Steam Deck, they'll come around).

This looks amazing! I am going to miss the “lobby pilot” it made your creations feel larger than life whereas now it’s like a super robot or remote controlled toys :/ (which they are I get) and I get their going with the whole MeTavErSe thing but this will still be a day1 for me. I cannot WAIT!

So good to hear about even further customization, especially with sizing and removing already built-in parts to the Gunpla. Could of really used that in GB3 as the proportions has always been an issue. Other than that, its good to see the GB3 style of combat make a comeback and with the classic min/max play with stats to.
This was a great review and was what i was hoping too hear. subbed up will be looking forward to more videos when the game drops.
It's great that a lot of this is stepping back into the greatness that was the first three games. Wasn't against New at the start but played through it and it frustrated me more and more as I went on and it saddens me because I wanted it to be better. It legitimately gave me headaches playing it from all the awful ideas and how stupidly easy it became to completely lose your build.
Also Im totally going to give some builds giant gorilla arms when this drops just for the funsies because I can now.

I like the resizing aspect... Especially for mixing parts from things like the Nu Gundam and say V2... Those parts do NOT scale normally... But this system allows you to make it work. Definitely a nice new feature on top of all the others. You can really tell that they are trying to make up for New Gundam Breaker... And as someone who played the first Gundam Breaker with online pictures for translations, and #3 with the Asia release with serviceable English, I am here for it and cannot wait.
After playing and beating AC6, This game definitely has me on the edge of my seat, ive been waiting for a good gundam builder game.

I was in the test too, and while I think its a fantastic step after New Gundam Breaker, I still had some minor complaints here and there, such as one handed melee feeling entirely gutted to encourage dual melee use. The shield bash just didn't feel good as a second attack with one-handed melee. Thankfully they had a survey, which I filled out and hopefully made my own complaints known. Also for the dodge, you're supposed to hold a direction and then hit the button, that's how that works.
Glad to hear of all the positive changes over NGB. Makes me actually excited for this game now. The scaling and positioning stuff sounds like it'll be really fun for playing around with Full Armor-style Gundams.
Im going to be honest, when I heard GB4 was coming out, I had no faith at all in the game. Bamco has really dropped the ball on Gundam games over the years, especially after Nu Gundam Breaker. Its good to see them appear to be making changes that players have wanted for a while, or are generally good changes (like those customization options). I'm still a little sceptical, but the network test seems to have alleviated alot of my concerns. Cant wait to run Bazooka Shotty for my classic AC:LR feels
I can’t agree. Gundam Battle Alliance was a great game, was just too short. I’d say they obviously learned from the mistakes of New GB

I’m curious if the cinematic EX-Skills from Breaker Mobile like the Lupus Rex’s Tail Blade, the Astraea Type-F2’s Trans-Am Rampage or the Aerial’s Escutcheon will make it into Breaker 4. Would be cool to have them again although I think they aren’t very likely.

Having played and loved the first 3, I was worried that with the current state of the gaming industry, 4 wouldn't live up to expectations. I sadly missed out on the network test but this video sold me. Just preordered!

It might not be a serious war game sim ala Armored Core but the general gameplay and customization still sings to me as far as Gundam games go.

I saw it on Steam, didn't know it was on Switch. Awesome, because I'm building my humble Switch library till the 2 or w/e comes out lol.
Looks like it won't be as free-building as M.A.S.S. Builder or high-detailing like AC6, but that's ok, because you basically have to be an armature developer to get the most out of those. This looks insane, yet digestable. Don't think I'll be running out of ideas😎
From someone that has 100% Gundam Breaker 3 two times with countless hours played I can say I am so EXTREMELY happy that GB4 is going back to its roots. I hated NGB, I tried to like, I really did, but it was so slow and boring. Customization wasn't there because the game wanted you to put the best parts on most of the time and I honestly didn't like the mechanic of hot swapping parts when you lost your original part. If I go in with my gunpla that I suited up and colored, I wanna comeback with that gunpla, now some monstrosity that I had to put together hot swapping parts. Anyways, I'm happy and excited for GB4 to come out and I keep on looking up on the internet everyday to see if there has been a release date hahaha.
The asymmetrical arms is really cool but I seem to recall from my time in Breaker 3 that I really wanted waist/legs or arms/shoulders to be separate parts, as well as a sticker/pattern system kinda like Soul Calibur's customization. But, hey, that was just a "would be nice to have" and a lot of the new options sound amazing enough to warrant a purchase.
I know that there's the obvious comparison to New but how does the gameplay loop compare to 3? Sounds like the action segments are more or less taking cues from 3.
Also I'm hoping that the fully upgraded versions of weapons will be more or less interchangeable, as far as stats go. I remember that in some older Gundam Breakers that if you wanted to have a specific build that some of the higher difficulty missions would lean you into changing your Gunpla beyond just what you want it to be since different parts would scale differently.
Combat is EXTREMELY similar to GB3. This is as direct of a continuation of 3 as 3 was of 2 and 2 was of 1.
As for the waist and shoulder separation, I wouldn't be surprised to see that as the next step they take for GB5.
This looks promising, definitely want to try.
My issue with these games is that when you watch gundams battle in any of the animes, they move so fast and fluidly. In IBO, Barbatos was a speed demon and moved like he had ice skates on across rocky terrain and in space, he could zip around like a lightning bolt. Most of the Gundam games we get, they move like giant robots would in real life. I think that's something Armored Core did really well. You had giant robots that could zip around all fast, but it had limitations that made it seem more life like. I would like a Gundam game with movement like that, especially for space battles, where there's no gravity, so you should be able to zip around all crazy.
This one definitely didn't feel as cumbersome as Battle Operation or some of the other more "realistic" mecha games I've played. I'd recommend giving it a try!
You should try Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. Maxi Boost On!
If youre looking for a slower pace Gundam game, Code Fairy on PS4 is a good pick. GBO2 is in a bit of a rough state both on PS and Steam, Lost War Chronicles is hard to find, but still a good PS2 era game. Same with the Rise From The Ashes/Blue Destiny if you can find those games at all. Sadly good slower Gundam games are hard to find, which is unfortunate because I'd like to see more 'Tactical' Gundam games. I know there is definetly a market for them, especially with how popular Tactical Shooters and Simulation Games are over in Japan

I havent been this hyped for a game in years. It looks like its basically everything gundam and especially those who make gunpla have been waiting for. Im hoping i can put it right up there with Fed vs Zeon as the greatest Gundam games of all time

I'm so glad to hear that the mechanics and fighting system seems vastly improved from New Gundam Breaker. I think I'm not the only one who can say that New Gundam Breaker, at least on PC, was nigh unplayable. I'd frequently get glitches at the start of some missions where some buttons just straight-up did not work, like sometimes I'd spawn into a mission and I wouldn't be able to fire my beam rifle at all, or my melee wouldn't work. And don't even get me started on the targeting system and the auto lock-on. That in large part, glitches aside, made the game mostly unplayable all on its own.
Super sold on that game, now I can make my Kshatriya equipped with bits, dragoons and funnels again YAY!!!

The part that can mix and match can be also used in a real life gundam build compaction is for every age and it’s not limited to both genders can win and participate something in the building competition community is really good and the community is not really toxic.
I'm so getting this game.
If it's like GB3 at base all weapons have the exact stats and when maxed with no skills they have the same stats, it's what skills they have and such that adds the variance.
I really hope they keep MELEE STYLEs in each weapons where you get A KATANA and it will either be standard Beam style motion or Iai move set. The most variant came from GYAN SABER which had 3 melee motions for Light and 3 Melee motions for square. It was INSANE AND I LOVE IT!
Gundam Breaker 4 looks awesome and glad to hear the game is fun.
I liked the SD Gundam Battle Alliance game they released a year or two ago, so i'm happy to see SD gundams were added to Breaker 4.
On topic of the roster, GB3 had ~150 suits on release, while GB4 is confirmed just over 250, so that's a massive increase - of course some of the new kits were already in NGB, so it's not as much of an increase over that one, but I only played NGB once or twice, so I don't count those myself. For my personal experience, this is a 60% roster size increase on launch, and that's bonkers.
Gundam Breaker Mobile had around *450* suits on closure day, although a few dozen of them were actually "customs" that were just assemblies of other suits' parts, sometimes with Builders Parts added, so not really increasing the part selection significantly. Still, with GB4 having DLCs already confirmed, and with the team having access to GBM's existing assets, I'm hoping for an increase in total roster size to beyond 300, at least.
....please, Bandai, I need that Hyzenthlay II-Rah

In GB3 you have to change the color when changing parts so getting asked to keep colouring is a time saver in making it match the rest of the build.

The only thing that is missing to be the perfect Gundam game for me is a mirrored/symmetrical arms option, so i could have a double sword strike shoulder or something like that, or better yet, separate the shoulder from the arms and the waist from the legs as an option and that would be a dream game for me
Gundam breaker 3 was where i started. Got a ps4 copy of both GB3 and NGB from trading with a friend of mine and even he told me to ignore the NGB because it was bad. Guy practically screamed out his curses to bandai for ripping his money off 😂. I tried and boy i ran back to GB3 real fast. The forced part switch, the stats problems, the lost of functional builder part and the absolute focus on the highschool romance plot kills it for me. Fighting the MA was hella fun though. Hashmal, Dendobrium and what not. That's the stuff they should definitely keep in GB4.
Probably don't have to worry but I hope the Mk. II and the Zeta are there.
my main hope is that there is some kinda coop mode for me and my friends we not really pvp players so hopefully it enjoyable in every way

Toggleable...pieces of each part? YES!!! That means if I want to have a straight build of a Destiny, and already have Arondight as its main melee weapon, I should be able to toggle off the second Arondight from the backpack so it doesn't show up! Heck yes!!!
Seems like a return to BG3 with slight improvements. I glad to have a new breaker game but to make only slight improvements when other more modern games offer more and bandai seems to suffer from a lack of corps that are in touch with modern gamers and seem to want to 'go back to tried and true'. To do that for your base is ok, but from that base you need to really expand. And focusing on it being just PVE/co op with no PvP at all just seems like a cop out to avid the problems wih having to make sure they have good network support for a lot of online pvpers and deal with balancing problems. They can just go wild and depend on 'power fantasy' which isn't as complex, and also does tend to appease the kid player base more than more serious players/adults. It's fine for pure gunam/gunpla fans, but it would have been nice to expand the player base by giving us the option of playing it mainly to build, to PvE, or PvP. I think people need to temper their enthusiasm a bit if they have never played a gundan game besides BG3 because then of course, they are going to think this is the bomb, but that's beause they haven't played any previous gundam games. (And yes, I'll even say I hope it has a decent campaign and story. I enjoyed the gunpla anime's that came out before Witch, so I'd be happy with anything like that. It wouldn't have to be some super serious 00 storyline but hey, that would be great too but i doubt they'd go that far.)
Yeah after the disappointment imo that was New Gundam Breaker, having something that takes me back to Gundam Breaker 3 is what it should have been. Looking forward to it heavily 👏🏾

I doubt it will be the case, but I'd adore the game if they added the Leo. The Leo is a unit that would be epic when customised.

Reminds me of a game I played called lbx(which I really enjoyed), i tried another level 5 gundam-like game that wasn't so fun, im hoping that this game would be much more likely to satify my hankering.
Is weapon swapping gone now? I remember being able to swap to an option part, or weapons that a part has and using that as a weapon for combos

If you can adjust the size of parts, can you make a regular size gundam look like a sd? By making the legs short making the torso fatter and head bigger?
You can make the head look big, but you can't make the arms and legs stubby, just small. There's no separate xyz axis scaling.
