Agree. Ollie, Chris Lasoya, Matt Marshall, rich telford,, Thomas Taylor, Alex Fraige, Ryan Greenspan, the list goes on and on. Playing paintball trying to be like them back in the day. I stopped playing in 09(ish). I had a tough road with heroin and prison. Got clean, and for my 4 years of clean time, my wife bought me a new marker, hopper, tank, and mask. Found my old pants and pod pack and got back to it. I'm playing my first tournament in March with a team I have been practicing with for about a year now.
Get back on the field, man. The sport misses you.

It did in 2008 now the guns and hoppers advanced enough a major league sport like mlb or nfl and the guys playing barely make enough for a living despite them working as hard for their sport as a football player does it just doesnt get the recognition it deserves

you should go play. it is so fast that it can be confusing. it's a super dynamic game. i bought my own mask but i rent the marker when i go play, which isn't as often as i'd like. super safe as long as everyone keeps their mask on when a marker is gassed up.

This era was way more exciting to watch than it is today.
man a lot has changed since paintball first came around. there's a lot of lockdown and bunkering down but there's not a lot of real movement in sport paintball. it's most exciting when it's down to 2on2 or 2on1 and there'd be more of that action with less of this 800 round hopper, 15bps nonsense where you have to hide the entire time or be shot out.
but this was an awesome fucking game, even a year later
This is actually at 10 bps and I can't think of any format that had faster movement than the last few points of this match.

Jordan Stachura i play a 6-10 bps (spyder imagine w 14 inch, prog ,smart parts barrel) against guys w 12-15bps(tippman a-5 ,x-7) and i kill em :) . this is speedball , last match was a true to speedball rush i love it!:) woods ball is bunker down and hide but can be just as crazy in certain situations,, max bps 25+ on Dye brand guns i have faced some of these at an indoor field , ya INDOORS I got shot 12 times in the back , was last 1 in the house, i got 4 of em b4 they got me, i loved it- indoor /out rec/ pro also, Always wear a cup guys!!! ive seen it twice and you do not wanna get hit in the kahunas
i fucking hate people nowadays with full autos and 10+bps. it takes no skill at all to hit a guy and i prove it by kicking their ass with a semi most of the time. ofcourse the "shoot shit till it dies" strategy works sometimes, but they never move pratically the whole game.

can somebody explain how one gets penalties? I've been watching the pro paintball games and keep hearing penalties called, but I don't undestand why.
Mainly for getting shot and continuing to play instead of calling themselves out.
oh. There's been so many times where I've been shot and didn't even feel it though. While wearing a lot less gear and clothing than these guys
Majority are just playing on after getting hit, where you got shot is what determines if it's a major/minor penalty.
playing after you've been hit, velocity over 300fps, if the gun is on psp or semi, if the gun shoots faster than 12.5pbs, over shooting, too many players on the field, whipping paint, hanging a flag after you've been shot (hence why the refs are checking each player that ends the point) and I think that's the majority of penalties, I'm sure there is more, like leaving part of your gun behind.

I'm assuming that most of penalties are playing after getting hit. But like I said, I've been hit and not even felt it so many times, while wearing a lot less protective clothing than these guys.

My best game was when we were playing woodball...we all spread out around these two walls and waited, finally they came after us, we had someone rushing, a guy in the brush, and another guy flanking. Eventually 4 out of the 5 of us ran out. we had to hold it down so we went to scaring them with blanks and 1 guy shooting and won.

wrong, paintball in not im any way, shape or form a war simulation.
In airsoft there is "MilSim" which is LITERALLY "military simulation" where its actual real world scenarios, with REPLICA weapons, rather than toy lookin markers. (i know that magfed exists) however, airsoft is much more accurate, and there is a such thing as Gas blowback airsoft guns, which utilize propane gas to fire the bb.
If anything, airsoft is super realistic war simulation

In my opinion I LOVE PAINTBALL, I have not yet played it but I have been studying tactics from Field, and Area Paintball games :) But I like Field better 'cause it's more realistic, and gives you more time :D

I think the worst part about the mask is the claustrophobic, hard to breathe feeling you get in high-intensity situations. My mask usually fogs up too much as well.

I usually stay out of the argument of what is better: paintball or airsoft, however I can't help but notice 99% of the time the argument from airsoft is how unrealistic paintball is. then I look at the people that make this argument or obsess over airsoft and a solid 80% of the time it's out of shape fat guys that never made it in the military and pick up the slack of their ego by insulting a legitimate sport. the other 20% is cowards who couldn't handle the stress of the military and feel the need to belittle a sport because nobody cares about their simulated game of grown men agreeing not to lie. paintball is and has plenty of potential to be a major sport, airsoft is a mere hobby where people pretend their tippman is an AR13. I realize that majority of dedicated paintball players are immature jackasses with huge egos but stop belittling the sport. find a way to make airsoft a sport.

This legitamately is probably the quickest clutch in paintball I be ever seen. Ton just pretty much rushed all 3 points and destroyed heat. Great game. Absolutely stunning and jaw dropping.

I think one of the reasons why this video blew up as much as it did, is because you've got 3 commentators kinda vying for "mic-time", while 2 commentators would have been enough, with the 3rd guy just kind of offering his insights. The fact that you've got 3 guys all calling out what they're seeing, is likely part of why this is paintball's biggest "meme" video. I'm here for it though.

At my local paintball field, they have a forest map with a sort of bunker/tower/house kind of thing and the objective for the defenders is to defend or take out all other players and for the attackers is to either take out all other players or get a player inside. What most players dont realize when playing on the map is that youre allowed to go to the fence which is about 30 yards into the wooded area and flank. Being my adventurous and tactical self i decided to have my buddy flank the rear and i flanked the right of the tower. I then took out the scout/sniper in the tower and ran in guns blazing. My friend did the same for the rear entrance and he was the first one in seeing as i had to trudge through a pool of water silently, lol. That was my first time playing paintball ever and i enjoyed it immensely. In the 8 hours we were there i only got shot once and i had over 10 takedowns within the first 2 hours there. I recommend anyone if youve never played to try paintball. Sure youll get beat up, bruised, wet, dirty, and crazy tired but it should be one of the best experiences youve ever had.
The announcers interrupt the European announcer (not sure who he is) waaay too much. He tried making points multiple times and they all kept talking over him. I get it’s exciting but let him talk. Especially since this is a match in Europe so he can give some insight into difference in European reffing and tournaments . Either way what a match. Hell of a game
