    I agree it's a fantastic knife. But why only a coated blade version? The steel is stainless so there is no real need for this DLC coating.
    Cold Steel should offer a satin blade version!

    I picked one up on ebay last week and there's a strong possibility it's a fake. The blade coating is matte rather than shiny, the grind is flat rather than hollow, and it wasn't very sharp. Bought it because they advertised XHP, but the one that they sent says s35vn. Oh well, lesson learned. Only buying from authorized sellers from now on!

      Dude, you're possibly new to knives and/or the knife industry and its news. Yours is 100% real. They updated the grinds to flat to add more strength, the dlc coating can either be dull or shiny, it changes, and s35vn is the new steel they all come in, the manufacturers can no longer get enough cts-xhp to fill orders. All knives cold steel sells that used xhp now use s35vn. So relax and enjoy your new lawman 👍

      I admire your loyalty to country Menace, but there is nothing wrong with some overseas knives, particularly from Taiwan. They have their crap sure, but so do we. When it comes down to it, almost all asian countries have been mastering blade forging and design thousands of years before the U.S. even existed. You're not betraying your country by appreciating the craftsmanship of others around the world. With all due respect (and I mean that sincerely), you might benefit from traveling overseas a bit and experiencing what other cultures and peoples have to offer. It's a big, wonderful world, filled with lots of good people and companies.

      @faustofranco2757 Před 7 měsíci

      @@jkn2k pues son distintos, la code 4 me gusta mas estéticamente, es agradable al tacto y a la vista pero la gran pega es que es resbaloso por ende poco confiable para trabajo pesado, defensa personal o cortes delicados, el american lawman es muy superior en cuanto a agarre y mas optima para las tareas mencionadas, aunque estos ultimos meses he preferido llevar de diario un Sog TAC, me parece mas ergonomico, mas practico de manipular por su seguro XR que se abre y cierra facil con una sola mano , es un poco mas robusto y por ello mas incomodo en el bolsillo pero mas confiable al empuñarlo, es mas barato que el lawman y el code 4 asi que no me pesa maltratarlo, su acero es D2 y asi que son de mejor calidad el lawman y code 4 con su acero S35VN pero solo que le diera un uso muy abusivo si optaria mejor por el lawman o directamente un Recon 1, el code 4 a pesar de su acero S35VN no lo considero bueno para un uso abusivo aun usandolo con guantes, me parece mas un cuchillo de caballero cuya calidad me materiales te garantiza que te durara toda la vida con su uso normal.
      Por mi parte estoy alternado entre el Sog TAC y un Tuff Lite que tambien me encanta, ambos aguantan el uso y abuso sin llegar a los extremos, son baratos y muy faciles de mantener y superconfiables en su seguro y ergonomia, el agarre de ambos es una delicia y no puedo decir lo mismo del code 4 ni del american lawman.... El unico que los supera seria el Recon 1 que tambien lo tengo pero ese si me abstengo de portarlo, es muy agresivo a la vista y la gente se intimida al verlo, es muy magestuoso, seguro, confiable , de materiales excelentes y grandiosas prestaciones pero solo te buscas problemas al llevarlo de diario ademas que es muy aparatoso en el bolsillo....
      Mi conclusión es que no hay un cuchillo perfecto,..... Yo he comprado poco mas de 70 navajas y mis favoritos son el cold steel tuff lite y el sog tac....pero ya depende mucho de cuales son tus prioridades.
      Otro que tambien puedo recomendar por encima del code 4 es el Recon 1 mini.... Tambien es muy ergonomico, ligero, de gran agarre, te da mucha seguridad al sujetarlo y manipularlo, es muy comodo llevarlo dia a dia, y es barato asi que no te pesa usarlo y abusarlo, solo que no es muy agradable a la vista, se ve tactico y agresivo, pero en un gran cuchillo en todos los aspectos, buen acero, facil de mantener, comodo, barato ligero, portable, ergonomico y de seguro confiable.

    Spyderco’s Taiwan knives are far superior to anything that comes out of Golden Colorado. Likely because there’s a better work ethic, less whining, and less ra ra ra USA bullshit. Spyderco’s Golden Colorado repair department particularly needs a good swift kick in the ass. They act as if they’re doing you a big favour. News flash Spyderco: You’re not. You’re honouring your warranty.

    Toyota Tacoma?

      They last forever. Its not uncommon for a Toyota Tacoma to clear 400,000 miles which is roughly double the life expectancy for most modern vehicles.

      @@metal_complex I was thinking Tacoma. It's almost like modern cars are made with planned obsolescence in mind. As an ex car salesman how do you feel about that sentiment?

    • @metal_complex

      I think certain tiers of vehicles are. Some have generational issues and some are bullet proof. Ford's 6.0L diesel in the mid 2000s had known injector issues and would crap out around 80k miles, while the 5.9L diesel in RAMs was almost indestructible

    That knife is butt ugly Plus it looks like it's made cheaply. I know it feels quality but my Venezuelan footwork can't talk me into buying it.
