✨✨✨what a voice... what an artist, what a woman, I am always fascinated by what this fantastic singer does, this tone that shines through her opera career is so incredibly surprisingly enriching for me, in general I like it not so, but a few can really elevate this glimmer of 'something else' to such an art, Lesley Garrett is one of the very few who can do that, I love and admire her beyond measure and notice, my algorithm and I, we get along great 🤗 in a duet with John Owen - John announced her with the words: THE DEVINE - LESLEY GARRETT; and he's right... ❤️❤️❤️
watched her performing the 12 days after christmas, with that she brought about a cheeky evilness with it. With this she brought about a emtional vulnerability which is both beautiful and makes you want to cry. This woman really know how to make a song come alive
If you get a chance to see her audience with Lesley Garret take it saw it last night its a great mix of songs and chat about how she grew up and started her singing. She also takes questions from the audience
Johan Mahoney-Berg thankyou for your comment ,l did know about how she grew up and started singing ,l have her autobiography notes from a small soprano .lt is a gift to be able to sing like that ,l used to be in a little group that went to retirement homes but l haven't sung for years ,l really miss it although l was never in Lesley's league she is amazing .
what???? uummm... NO.. that's not even CLOSE to the truth.. unless you meant in the past 40 years maybe.. ever heard of this lady?? if not, check it out... you'll soon change your mind... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Baker
Why do so many opera singers sing musical theatre music like it's Mozart, Puccini ? It never works and here we have a 2nd tier Soprano who at her best was never going to challenge, Renee Fleming and other singers in tier 1 of opera.
I was searching for Susan Boyle and this came up. I saw this woman on a TV show and she made a strange comment about singers and musical theatre. People ‘tell her musical theatre singers are not regarded as high as opera singers’. I’m not sure what ‘people’ tell her that. No one I know has heard that. A majority of the population will willingly go to see a musical theatre show and only a small percentage would choose opera. In fact if this was my first opera outing in it will be my last.

song doesn't sound that good totally opera-like.
Susan Boyle had more emotion and talent
She's too technical like doing vocal exercises. I am a fan POTO but this version doesn't move me a bit.
Meanwhile, a pretender somewhere on CZcams gets 180,000,000 views for this song.
sorry Lesley i went to thorne grammar like you have always loved your singing but its abot time you retired at the top you warble too much these days
not so interesting.
She's not as good as she thinks she is, This is just my opinion.
Foi ela quem te falou isso ?
Oh dear she’s just awful!! Susan Boyle killed this in an audition on live TV! Ann Hathaway killed it too. Just squeaks and comical singing.
i agree she is getting too old as a said in my comment she wants to hear Ernistina jost who is fantastic best i have ever heard
