- After going through an annoying experience with fitment issues as well as knocking noises underneath my car from the CircuitWerks V1 Downpipe, I decided to change the downpipe completely with a brand new one from MAPerformance. Shoutout to Ian for providing me fantastic customer service, fast shipping and provding knowledge about the product that was in stock and available for purchase. That space in the middle is reserved for the driveshaft. 😏
If it was rattling on taking off in first gear it’s not gonna be the heat shield rattling but rather it’s a bolt that’s sticks out from the subframe.

Good to know this kind of thing. I might go with the same downpipe. But hey man, not cool driving like that in a residential.
It might have been hitting differently on your car. What I had was a vibration under hard acceleration and/or turning, as it was hitting against the LSD I believe. I have only adjusted it once due to taking it off to hear wrap the upper portion. I haven't had any issues since although you drive your car a lot more than me.
I'll have to check that weld too when I get home

Absolutely love the quality of this Downpipe. For the price it’s definitely worth it. Please note if you are looking for a catless Downpipe you cannot buy one anymore!

What exhaust are you running and what intake do you have. I’m sold on the pipe cuz it is brute build not like the one you removed.
The exhaust setup that I have is a MAPerformance Catless Dow pipe matted with a Corsa Performance CatBack exhaust
The intake in this video I believe is MST Performance but I currently have the new on from Integrated Engineering
Did you have any issues aligning the rear exhaust from awe after install of the map downpipe the right tip wants to go up hitting my valance I've adjusted it multiple times wants to hit after some pulls
Did you replace the gasket between the turbo and downpipe ? I didn't and just noticed an air leak coming from the v-band.
there isn't a gasket from the turbo flange to the downpipes just a v-band clamp that holds everything together

is it catless or what? did you remove muffler and resonator before? they have 6 different options for DP! which one did you get?
This downpipe is the regular catted option. Definitely worth every penny!!!!!

I keep debating myself on what to do with my GTI. I've considered just getting the 3500$ COBB stage 3 package. Then I've seen the MAperformance stuff as well. ugh, decisions.

Depends on the tuner but that is typically stage two which should be around 320-330 whp

Is this the non resonated DP? Also, the extra straight pipe, what is that replacing?
Gabar-GCS it’s reasonated and catted and it’s the mid pipe connecting to the rest of the exhaust

Corsa made the actual APR cutbacks for many years. People flipped out about the RSC thing in the Audi community, but it was a quality product regardless. Thanks again for the videos, GTI comrade! -mcs
