Dude. Thank you so much for this video! Although there is a ton of these videos on CZcams, yours has the best view and is explained very well. I really appreciate it!
Colin Cowherd thanks buddy that means a lot glad I could help brother 🤙🏾🙏🏾
I shark fish in Jacksonville, FL and have been experimenting with all kinds of setups, from 360 lb wire to 280 lb mono but this makes the most sense. Less Expensive than wire by itself, good twists and knots, and if the shark does twist the skin won't break the wire. I've caught sharks from 3' to 7' off the beaches and piers and tried many things, but I like this the most. Thank you!
Just rigged this up last night and I’m going to the beach tomorrow to try this out !!!!
Have seen a few of these videos, but this is def one of the best. Simple and straight to the point. Good stuff!
Thanks I greatly appreciate it
Great video, easiest to follow and simple.
Thank you for the video. I just set up using your instructions and I will be testing it out today 🤙
Awesome buddy
I was looking for a good video and saw alot of others. I have to say yours was the best thanks so much.
Thanks buddy glad I could hel
Great how to Jack! Thanks for sharing how you rig.
KennyP's Country Catfishing thank you sir tight lines 🤙🏾
Love the video...we go out at Johnson Beach all the time and use the big rigs...going to try this next time looks like easy fun!
Thanks I really appreciate it. This is my go to rig for surf casting. I use the big rigs for my big conventional reels
Great video, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching
a San Diego jam knot works very well with 100lb mono, all the way up to 300lb mono, you just have to make the wraps tight
this helps so much
Awesome how to bro, thanks for sharing
4 DA KIDZ Fishing thanks buddy I really appreciate it 🤙🏾
I'm a new subscriber to your channel and look forward to. Seeing you catch more sharks from the beach. In the future
There is gonna be a more coming soon
Thanks Jack, good info.
thank you sir tight lines
Love this video!
Thanks for watching
Great video man I'm only in 4 minutes and I love the tips bud!
LippinBassTV appreciate buddy thanks for watching 🤙🏾
Great video!
Mike Tavener Media thanks buddy
rebeck knot is the strongest ... you should ties mono to swivel with that knot
I never Shark Rigs Before.but am gonna Try The Shark 🦈 Rig for Saltwater Fishing.
I’m curious as to what reel you have in the start of the video
What happens above that top bead though? There's everything in the video except that... does it just go straight to the reel?
Thanks for the video....its awesome. Is the mono for the shock? Can you go from wire leader/swivel directly to braid? Thanks again!
No it’s for the sharks abrasive Skin and tail whips. Thanks for watching buddy
What pound line do you tie your mono to?
Content seems to be very similar to Landshark Outdoors Shark Rig video of 2016. Title was the first giveaway.
7:25 hahaha you made me laugh and is berley the best way to attract sharks?
Hey bro, what pound test mainline for braid do you need and how long of a leader as well? Thanks man!
I’m using 65 pound braid on mine reel. And the leader I’m using is 12-18 inches of wire followed by 4-5feet of mono. You can make it shorter if you like if you’re casting your baits out
Thank you. God bless
Thanks for watching
They make it look so easy lol
It’s so bad practice makes perfect
Don't forget, we don't set circle hooks. Circle hooks set themselves.
Yes 👍🏽👌🏽
Awesome video! What pound test should I be using for my main line?
Blake-_- depends on the size of your reel I’d have 65 on my slammer
Yakin with Jack 65 braid right?
Yes braid
Great vid! Just wondering how strong the wire you use in this rig?
For cast outs I usually us 100 pound cable or wire
If trying to create this rig for my 9ft rods- can the heavy mono leader go thru my guides onto spin reel spool a little for casting?
If you tie your mono leader to your main line with a FG knot it shouldn’t be a problem
Does the sliding sinker and upper bead get caught up on the knot between the 100# mono and your braid main line? Even with an FG knot, won't that catch the bead?
Yes the bead catches the bead. I use the fog knot so I can reel up some of the leader so I can cast better
@@YakinwithJack doesn't that limit the distance the fish can run without feeling the weight to the length of the mono leader?
@@peakroofingllc5899 it does but with using cast leaders the baits aren’t too big so in must cases the shark just inhaled the bait and swimson
I’ve heard that when sharks feel weight they drop your bait, is it bad for the FG knot to stop the sliding weight? Or is it fine different because the leader is several feet long?
This is true some sharks do but when I’m surf casting I use a small enough bait for the shark to inhale in on bite. You don’t wanna use as big bait
Yakin with Jack Thank you
I am having trouble getting the twists that right together
Just keep on practicing buddy you’ll get it
What is the purpose of the mono leader? Will a nail knot work or is the fg knot essential to the rig?
The mono is for the sharks abrasive skin. And the fg slides through the guides easy when casting
@@YakinwithJack thanks
Can you only get sharks with this tackle? Is it good from the jetty and rocky shore?
GrazianoB - The Adventurous Hat you can catch bull reds , rays etc but I wouldn’t use the wire leader
Do you need the mono if you use 100lb braid as a main?
Yes the sharks skin will cut through your braid with ease
What affordable surf shark spinning rod do you recommend
I like the penn prevail
Yakin with jack thank you I love your channel !
Thanks man I greatly appreciate it 👍🏽🤙🏽
Okuma metaloid 14'6 6-8 oz or okuma makaira 15'6 7-9 oz
Will the Uni to uni knot work to attach it to my main line?
Yes but using a uni knot will catch the guides when casting while using heavy mono
Yakin with Jack so would you not recommend it because the Fg knot seems really confusing to me
I mean it could work. But the Fg is a lot better
Yakin with Jack alright man thanks when’s the next vid comin out?
What's the test of your main line please?
jwolfe6 40 pound braid
@@YakinwithJack thanks for the info
can i buy all of these online
jason lockhart yes you sure can
How long is your mono leader?
3-5 feet is what I usually use
@@YakinwithJack thank you
How many pounder it's your braid line the main line bro?
65pound braid
@@YakinwithJack Thank u
Can I use 60lb floro or will that break?
It could work but a bigger shark would break it
@@YakinwithJack Yeah I figured. Mainly I’m trying to target tarpon. Was just curious if I could hold up to a shark. Thanks bro
I mean, unless your reel is applying more than 40lbs of drag it should hold just fine assuming the fluro is fresh
Great emphasis on how important for the beads. I try to have multiple rigs predone before I leave the house yet still have the materials needed to improvise if I have to. Just saying. Keep it coming man
Matt Irwin I do the same always try to be prepared

牛逼, 在我们中国不能钓鲨鱼,中国可没有美国渔业资源丰富,人口太多了
Just twisted the wire🤨🤨🤨i dont think that works just like that
