Classic Images (of Columbia, MD) first created this video titled "Atlanta" in two parts for the 125th Anniversary re-enactment in summer 1989. Jack Foley and his team did a great job with these videos during the 125th cycle (1986 - 1990).
Another in a series of postings on our CZcams channel of a cool New series of Old videos -- featured only on here -- taken from a personal collection of re-enacting films and videos from the 1980s that can't be found anywhere else, or else we've tried to find them for nostalgia's sake, but did our own digging and presenting the results of our treasure hunt here. Some are taken from VHS originals or DVD transfers from those VHS copies. Originals were in Standard Def or Videotaped off of TV when they first aired. Some shot professionally and others by individuals with "portable" home video cameras on their shoulders.
Some Classic Re-enacting videos are already searchable on CZcams, but we wanted to start a new series of some rarely or never before seen classics that either only aired once or where short lived and available only to a select few at the time. We hope you enjoy. These programs presented in this RE-ENACTING RETRO series are presented for the enjoyment of all and we don't claim them for ourselves.

Thank you LionHeart Film Works and everyone involved for all your videos! I truly do appreciate the work and effort you do and contribute from producing new content, to replaying older reenactment videos and everything in between. You all do not receive enough thanks and gratitude for helping to showcase our History especially in today's environment and society which appear to be on a mission to demonize all history and erase, if possible, or at least change Our history to suit their false and incorrect Narrative.
Great Job and Please Carry On!

If that was anywhere near as actual as a battle, these men on both sides must have very hardened. Shots after shots. I have to say those gentlemen acting did such a good job better than most movies.

Davis was an idiot! Johnston was his best bet. I've read some accounts that Johnston did not plan to put his army inside the ATL fortifications. Hood didn't even do that. He charged out and damaged himself against Sherman. Then fled ATL. I've wondered if Johston would have left part of his army in ATL with the GA Guard and led the rest out to harass Sherman's supply line and hit the pieces Sherman would send after him. Johnston knew the key to defeating Sherman was to sever his railroad connection to TN.
