This video is LONG overdue, but thank you!!! Since Ableton Lite comes with the M32, it makes sense to have a walkthrough of the functionality. Would love to see a similar video for for Maschine Mikro and Ableton.
Is there some prerequisite info missing from the beginning of this video? "Komplete Kontrol M DAW" isn't an option in my Ableton preferences, only "Komplete Kontrol M32". This device has been sitting on my desk for a year now because it was such a headache trying to get it working the first time around. Now trying it for a second time and I forgot what a nightmare it was, with all the layers of the NI ecosystem that needed to be installed (the strange naming conventions, the cofounding blurring of software and hardware intersecting with said naming conventions, the requisite plugins for hardware integration being buried in with instrument plugins) in order for Ableton to recognise a single device.
om F&*( g this is a nightmare. You need Native Access in order to install Komplete Kontrol in order to install Kontakt which a plugin will tell you needs Kontakt 6 or higher even after you have Kontakt 7 installed, just to tell you upon installing it that you access said plugin through Kontakt 7, but you use the plugin in Ableton as Kontakt with a pop-up window, even though it shows up as a plugin in its own right within Ableton, but the instrument is called Kontakt and only specifically referred to as the instrument name in the pop-up window, except this only happens once in some kind of fragile network of linked windows that are all necessary to use the M32, and if you close any of the pop-up windows it crashes Ableton and nothing will work again until you uninstall and reinstall everything all over again. Utter nightmare. I mean ... is Native Access the library of plugins that have been installed? Or is Kontakt? Or is Kontakt a plugin that itself initiates plugins? Is Kontakt a layer of Komplete Kontrol which is itself a layer of Native Access? What, of all these layers, is actually required / being used by Ableton as an instrument/plugin? This is mind-meltingly baffling, folks.
Can you map the knobs to parameter's in other soft synths? For example, can I map one of the knobs to the filter on the Operator instrument in Ableton?
Yes you can. I think I saw a tutorial out here. But I also managed to map the parameters by myself. I'm not sure, but in Ableton you can map the parameters if you expand the Vst.
Hi, i just got the m32. I can't get the right and left arrows bottons to work to control track volume when there are more than 8 tracks in ableton live 11. I'm only able to control 1 to 8 Any help? Thanks
Hey this is helpful but when I load Komplete control using these settings I can no longer use the knobs to adjust the synth settings they just adjust ableton volume etc. I’d rather have Komplete control working than have ableton integration

Try opening Komplete Kontrol in standalone, then go to preferences/midi and check the option that says "Komplete Kontrol M DAW" then open Ableton live and see if the option appears

when I plug my m32 in the buttons wont light up. the keys work and it says "template xy" and I can switch octaves but all the 12 buttons on the upper left are black so that I cant press rec or metro.. help :(
I’m just got the kontrol s61, downloaded all the software, set up the midi like in the video, but when I hit record on the keyboard it toggles clip recording armed on an off and not the clip slot recording button on the track I’m on. Thoughts?

I purchased the M32 a couple weeks ago to use with Cubase Pro. I went to NI website to get Cheat Sheet but nothing for cubase as indicated coming soon. Any idea where I can get Cheat Sheet? I took the one for Logic/GarageBand but not really for Cubase. Struggling alone. Help
also I have such a heavy latency.. is there something I can do about that that is not hardwear based? I already set down the buffer and sample rate but its so bad
@@andeye. Thanks for your response. However, my experience is that Intro 10 is more feature rich. And many sounds that work in 10 Intro do not get loaded in 11 Lite. It returns an error that 'This sound doesn't come in this version of Ableton". So I prefer to not use Lite version if I have the INtro or versions above Intro. I got my M32 two days back. Glad to share that it integrates well with 10 Intro. Thanks again. :)

This is too damn much work. This is why i use Pro Tools. Everything is pretty much play and play. Not going through every damn little menu. Unneccassary.

Ableton racks come with 8 Macro faders by default - couldn't NI at least support these out of the box?

Using left and right arrows does NOT allow me to access other channels. Am I missing something?

I'd suggest that since a license for Ableton Live 11 Lite is included with the M32, you'd be better just installing that...

Any updates? I have the same problem.
Make sure Login Item: NIHostIntegrationAgent is (ON) from the system settings or launch any NI software that will activate it then it will show up.
Still no full M1 support? Wow!

Just wish Maschine studio and jam still integrated with Ableton. V disappointing
