London reminds me of the college kids I saw outside of a bar on Halloween. I am 27 and I was with some friends and we were walking into a pub that had 30-50 yo patrons at the bar and a girl wearing a sexy riding hood costume was yelling at her friend, “I don’t want to go in there!!! There are OLD people at this bar.” I almost died 😂
Its wild bc I feel so old at 23 but being 28 is definitely young in my head. I cannot fathom thinking that 28 is the equivalent of middle aged lol.

Do exactly what Miles said and turn it into a silly joke later, after you got your license. I know why it's bothering you, especially if you really like the guy, but try not to fixate on it too much as long as you been honest with him about everything else!

Yeah i would just be like "hey, idk if you remember me saying i had a license when we started dating. I actually did not have a license, but i thought you were really cool and i was really nervous, so for some reason i said yes when you asked and i felt too stupid to correct myself" 😅. I feel like everyone has made small lies for no reason at some point in life

Random Q - People can identify someone they know based on voice, right? Callers keep being like "I've given info that someone could identify me with." If I was close enough with a person to know their life details, I'd certainly be able to recognize their voice.

The flatmate stealing food triggered me so bad. In my final year at university I had a similar situation but I was broke and living in overpriced accommodation with people with rich parents. I complained 3 times about it as I didn't have money to replace it. I ended up moving but the nicer people in the flat told me a month later they found out who it was as he started stealing their stuff.

@@LongRiverOtter I have 15 right now, they're my first chickens! I got them this spring. I have 5 regular sized ones, 7 silkies which are small and floofy (please go Google silkie chicken, it'll make your day!), and I recently got 3 silver sebrights! The sebrights are SO TINY! They're like parrot sized! One of my silkies is a rooster, and so is one of my sebrights. They're all just now starting to lay their first eggs and it's so fun! I don't even eat eggs! 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤣

I totally relate to the drivers license lie, sometimes it's so easy to just say yes to questions like that when you're nervous. I told an almost identical lie and later ended up marrying the guy I told it to. I then completely forgot about it until we were getting car insurance together and he needed to know what year I got my license. It's okay girl! ❤

Same lol! I'm 28 and turn 29 in two days, and I was close friends with people this age and into their early 30s when I was 23. It's a maturity thing for a 23 year old to look at a 28 year old and think they're so much older or different in some way.
Also, to clarify, I don't think it makes a 23 year old immature if they don't have older friends, and I also recognize that the 28 year old roommate asked the caller and her friends to quiet down at 10:30 on a Saturday night, which obviously had an impact on the caller's perception of said 28 year old. But I also think Miles and Carl had every right to make the little sarcastic jabs they did about the 5 year age gap being so huge since the caller originally framed things with that sort of tone.
