I second that. I just seen a person on a movie documentary on Netflix, and they were interviewing the writer, and he mentioned these radio shows that used to blow me away as a kid listening to the radio. The other two I was hoping they had here, were Inner Sanctum and CBS Mystery Hour.

Peter Coyote played him in the 1980's remake.

Weaver played it like a cornered animal, manic, hysterical, a desperate man at his breaking point rattling the bars of his cage trying to make someone, _anyone_ listen. Coyote played it like a man already broken, too beat down and exhausted to even rattle the bars because he already knows no-one will listen, like he was the same man after a _loooong_ time trapped in this dream.

It showcases Charles Beaumont's excellent writing and obsessions with dreams, nightmares, and unreality which perfectly suited the format of the show.
