That's the problem with ANY modified vehicle, finding another person who wants the same thing. Standard is always the way to go, historic status, no more MOT and free road tax is a plus too.
Got the fork leg extensions today from US. Expensive s**t, but they looking great and feels real high quality and are US made. They mounts into the upper internal threads and are flush with the original forks. I did not know they existed all these years before I got the idea after watching your channel some weeks ago. You know I have the 1000k5/k6 forks on my Busa gen1 and they are slightly shorter. I had some small intercooler to tire interference. Very excited to fit them. The lady at home doesn't know. 🤣👍 Great build and channel!
Think it's too you it needs to be like you have suggested, silver frame silver bodywork then folk will have a base line to do as they Will, just my thoughts mate
Like others have stated the bike looks good I think the exhaust is not my cup of tea though it would be nice to see someone come forward and purchase it but noone knows how long that will take you could wrap it and spend money on it and it still may not sell for awhile its really on the question how long are you willing to wait.. and yet it would be a shame to dismantle it for parts when its a fully working bike but really its what ever you think at the end of the day will give you more peace of mind and the best profit.
@@RDMROFSOULS cheers bud, exhaust is not mine either, just on for MOT, will be swapped out for a Yoshi clone after pay day 😂. Breaking the bike would be last resort...no immediate need to sell, deffo not going to give it away 👍🏻
I think the bike looks great mate. Feedback from me. I dont think its to do with the paint myself. I also think wrap looks like a cover up job, it would put me off as a buyer. Although we know thats not the case here, and I am a bike painter so probally a bit biased. I think you are right on the timing. Lots of people on holiday at the miunute. Personally I think the seat is really letting the bike down, re covered in simple black vinyl would make a huge differance. If the bike was all original it would probally be fine. The good thing about a bike like this is its never finished. A new owner can carry on with it. Best of luck mate!
@@petergarside2341 cheers Pete, the seat does let it down, going to hit up some local trimmers and see what sort of price, also putting a Yoshi on it and a bit of polish on the side covers 🍻👍🏻
Hi the bike looks absolutely fine to me as I've been into bike building around 40 plus years have had about five Kat's in my time and they never really liked them standard much better ride modified and look much better, going the standard would have to be every nut and bolt , paint all correct to fetch high price , I think this will sell later in the year, just my thoughts
Myself I like your color scheme, I've always wanted one of those Muth-Designed Katana's, but never could find one I could afford - plus I think they are more rare here in Central Florida than in the UK? Wish you were closer pal......
Personallyi never liked the Katana fairing, much better naked or nose cone type of setup, the front end you have on there is great . It would be cheaper to do that and see if sell i think it would ,nothing wrong with the colour scheme, a different can on exaust maybe, just put a round headlight and brackets on and it comes with the fairing .it will have better chance with those nice forks uncovered, jealous of them! lol
@@krismorgan I checked with the post office and they tried to register it as historic, system said no, lady said it only allows at the end of the year usually..,🤷🏻♂️
Hi, just viewed your vid. I'm restoring a 1100 kat myself. If you are selling parts I would be interested in a standard seat for sure, poss the exhausts etc. Get in touch
@@chrissyb5447 hi bud, unfortunately only have one seat which is on the bike. At the moment have listed all the bits I am selling as a job lot on FB. Complete front and rear plus exhaust for £1200. Not splitting as yet as hoping to shift as a lot....but might consider the exhaust 🤷🏻♂️
It's gooooorjust the way it is.. just a bad economy with EVERYONE trying to sell their bikes/cars etc.. maybe contact some give away/raffle type websites and see if they want to promote/sell tickets to win the bike.. *and recover the bike cost that way..?
Nothing wrong with it, it's bad ass. Just make it road ready. (MOT) It just needs the right buyer.

If in Australia, Would be snapped up! They don't mind retrofit bikes, black frame would suit a larger market.. Great build. 4:43
