Fun album to jam to. Decided to put together a bit of a medley. Some songs work better on the piano, so I play longer parts from those, and just short bits from others. Might do proper covers of some of the songs later.

Firstly, no, he didn’t. He had a literal committee of producers and collaborators contributing to MBDTF, to the point he didn’t even produce “Devil in a New Dress” at all, for example (it was produced by Bink and Mike Dean). Plus, a lot of melodies on the album are barely touched samples (such as the chanting on “Power”). Secondly, even if Kanye West did write all these melodies (which he didn’t), that doesn’t mean the person playing piano here didn’t dramatically rearrange them for the piano, otherwise they would sound identical to the original songs, which they obviously don’t. As such, the credit goes to this guy for his ability to build a medley around this track list, and not Kanye. I know everyone likes to act like Kanye is some Brian Wilson-esque genius, but he’s not, and other people deserve recognition, including this man here. To deprive him the proper credit for _his_ video is ridiculous.

No, you couldn’t. And your response generally tells me you have literally nothing to say, because everything I said is rooted in facts. I think you simply don’t like hearing the reality that Kanye West is not the creative force or visionary you deify him as, but you want to believe he is for some reason. He’s a good artist regardless, but every time you try to raise him up to that level, you deprive other people of due credit, and that’s kinda bullshit, my guy.

My gosh this is amazing. This is probably one of my favorite albums ever and you blew me away with this. I honestly wasn't expecting All of the Lights or Blame Game to be anything special since they already have piano in them, but you took both to a whole other level. Gorgeous is my favorite song off of the album and it was my favorite in this video. Keep it up man!
