Smolder support's biggest challenge is his own team, unfortunately. I had an adc lock in neeko. We proceeded to own the lane, won the game, and she still flamed. sigh
Issue persists with many champion through the years. I still have people say that when I lock in Hwei, I had people who used to say it when Naut first came out and I played him support "No he's a jungle". The problem is most players dont look outside of a box and as supports we have to deal with some of the players who use their brains the least when they play or talk.
Since Smolder is all physical but ap scaling, I'm curious if liandries + lethality would be good. Lethality kills the squishies, Liandries kills the tanks, and you can just ignore auto attacking as a mechanic and go full ability poke.
it would probably be your 4th or 5th item since your q would still need 225 stacks for the Insta kill. Since Smolder also relies on his ult maybe a malignance but I don't think it works well.

So I watched the first smolder supp vid today and at min 5 it went private and I was Not Able to finish… pls don’t Take that down as well or at least wait like 30 min from now 😂😅 And… „sMoLdEr iS noT a SuPp aaaKchuAllYyyy“ 🤓🤡😂😂
i feel kinda bad for the vayne xd u did grief her early game, she couldnt farm because u throw W and thats everything xd, ure out, meanwhile Karma and Mf poke the living s out of her while trying to farm but thats smolder supp, is really bad time for your adc early, sure u can carry late, but is not a good time for the adc neither lol, so... dont say that she is griefing bro, she just want to play a regular game with a support, and early u have half the dmg and half the range of other pokers u.u

I play supp so I can have some semblance of control keeping my ADC from feeding and running it down by natural instinct.

I also playing him as a support. Try going for Taste of blood instead of Cheap Shot. It makes a huge difference in poking.

Actually you've built rfc at end of the game so you didn't get much benefit from it. Also try Malignance it could be useful.
