Summary:
Season 1:
Cellphone app Love Alarm is created. If someone likes you and they are within 10 meters of you, the alarm for the app rings. The app also shows how many people like you, but the app doesn't reveal specific details on who likes you. Kim Jo Jo is a high school student. She is pretty and smart. She seems like a cheerful person, but her parents died when she was young. Since the death of her parents, Kim Jo Jo has lived with aunt's family. Living there is not easy for Kim Jo Jo. She doesn't download the app Joalarm as her phone isn’t new enough. Meanwhile, Hwang Sun Oh is a popular male student at the same high school where Kim Jo Jo attends. He is the son of a wealthy family, but he is not loved by his parents. His best friend Lee Hye Yeong also attends the same high school. Hwang Sun Oh notices that his best friend Lee Hye Yeong likes Kim Jo Jo. Hwang Sun Oh wants to know if his friend really likes her, so he kisses her.
Season 2:
Longing for resounding proof of her feelings, Kim Jo Jo sets out to uninstall the shield and make the app ring for her one true love.

This edit showed their love so beautifuly. I love all the scenes you chose. And seeing their almost kiss in his home made me realize something. While Sun oh forcefully kissed her while she was even dating someone else, Hye yeong waited until she was ready and wanting to kiss him, EVEN THOUGH they actually WERE dating. Just proves how sweet he is and how much he respected her and her feelings and decisions. GOALS
Yes! THIS is what I’ve been saying! I had rewatched the first season before watching the second and I realized that Sunoh’s character is actually very creepy. He kissed Jojo & Jojo barely knew who he was, then Sunoh told Hyeyoung he did it to prove something (he wanted to prove that hyeyoung had feelings for jojo) but he could have done something else instead of just forcefully kissing her. And then when hyeyoung and sunoh agreed to do the love alarm test TOGETHER with Jojo, Sunoh did it without Hyeyoung! On the other hand, Hyeyoung said around the end of season one “I’m hitting on you like they did before Love Alarm.” He didn’t want to rely on the love alarm he wanted to rely on true feelings! Which worked because even tho Jojo can’t ring, he never gave up!
@@nojtaer at the end of the day, when you consider the actions of both guys, Sun oh only ever acted as it suited his own interest (ignored that jojo was taken, ignored that his friend liked her already, ignored her constantly when she kept telling him she didn't want to be with him but wanted to be with Hye yeong) while Hye yeong always respected her and her decisions (never made a move when she was dating anyone, even helping her when she tried to contact Sun oh after the motorcycle accident, started flirting with her when she was single and enough time had passed, and was upfront about it and moved only at her pace and as she allowed it) true love is not selfish but selfless and respects the other person and their agency

She smiles a lot more when she's with him. I feel like the ending just made the most sense and even though I respect both ships, I am really happy with them being endgame.

BEST ENDING OF DRAMA BY FAR
I love the story it shows like real life relationship not just like a typical kdrama stories that is far from reality. Before watching love alarm i heard some rumors that the ending is not good as they thought they're not satisfied with the ending. From day 1 I actually choose hye-hyeong because o his unrequited love and at the end I felt so satisfied of choosing hye-hyeong. I just dont know why some fans are not happy with the ending.
Yes! Exactly! I thought the ending was perfect. Sunoh and Jojo’s relationship was just the typical kdrama lovey dovey relationship while Hyeyoung’s and Jojo’s relationship actually protrayed real life relationships very well.
I can guarantee that this is the most satisfying ending kdrama story❤❤

This is the 1st ever love triangle where my ship actually sailed. But nonetheless, one thing I always thought was all of these severely affected and ruined Sun-ho and Hye-young's friendship. I mean ofcourse it's not possible to stay best buddies with your ex gf's partner. But then I realised something else. Even though Hye-yeong was such a sweetheart, always took care of Sun-ho, tried to make him feel less lonely, the latter just went out and kissed his best buddies' crush/love. Like is this so hard to tell that HY loved Jojo. There was nothing to prove. Just him getting selfish when its love and all but bro atleast give your friend a chance to confess if not anything else. This one sided friendship was meant to end anyway sooner or later. Even after HY saw those 2 going out and was hurt, he didn't bother them and just wanted them to be happy. He is indeed a sweet partner but look how good he is as a friend too.
And it's not about whom Jojo should've dated and who deserved what. It's about the love, the foundation, the feeling of being special to someone and slowly growing to become someone important for that someone. All HY did was staying by her side and making her feel that she is needed to someone. Jojo always thought herself as a burden because of her past. This feeling was so important for her. She was so glad that she was there for HY when he actually needed her during his father's incident going on.
Love has different definition for diff. People. It's not about kissing and getting unsecured over things. Love gives one the strength to face anything head on.
Jojo always ran away from her trauma but with HY in her life, she for the very first time gathered the strength to face her past, accept it and move on for a better future.
In the end Jojo got a great friend (I forgot her name but she was such a good friend to her), her family was starting to be better to her (they always insulted her and made her cry but that slowly changed) and above all , the love of her life Hye-yeong.
I completely agree with you!! Especially with your first paragraph. I felt like people forgot how Sunoh knewww Hyeyoung liked Jojo from the start, and how he wanted to “test” Hyeyoung’s feelings by kissing Jojo (Like there could have been other ways). Also, not to mention he promised Hyeyoung he would do the love alarm test together with Jojo at the same time, but then ended up doing it with Jojo alone.
And as I’ve said before, I felt like Jojo and Hyeyoung’s relationship was more mature and realistic. Hyeyoung was so patient and didn’t want to push anything with Jojo, and I liked that! He really made Jojo feel more comfortable,,

Hyeyoung was a great friend to sun oh from the start. He sacrificed jojo just for his best friend. And only approached her when she was no longer with sun oh. He respected her choice. He definitely deserved a happy ending.

I underestimated this kdrama I've been in love with Jxh since the beginning but I feel people only shipped jxs because he was "more ml faced" the typical hot and rich ml but Jxh was a growth of a real relationship without love alarm while jxs was sooo suffocatingly desperate for that ring TEAM JXH FOREVER
