  • My customer had his Vauxhall astra j towed from London because of a coolant temperature sensor fault , as you all probably know by now the decade box was in action straight away and we found the issue .
I will be uploading videos here regularly sharing my experiences working around cars on my driveway, exposing issues, auto repair, auto electric, oil changes, services, projects and more...

Wish I could find a trustworthy mechanic like you. I had this problem just over a year ago on my Astra, the problem then went away and just recently came back, with fan running all the time, I was told the ECU module needs to be fixed (over £200)... as it needs to be sent away. My engine error code was also P0115 coolant temperature sensor circuit 1 I believe the obd 2 stated. Car also seems to be running good apart from fan constantly running.

Hi, I have the same problem and mine is because of a faulty coolant temperature sensor. Sometimes, while driving, the temperature goes from 90c up to 130c or down to 50c and that gives me an ECU error and AC can't be used because the engine is overheated, when in reality it isn't, it's just an incorrect reading. In my case, I just stop, restart the engine and then everything is well. Happens once every 50 to 60 miles I would say.
