Getting Dan Lambert is low key one of AEWs best signings. The stuff he did with America’s Top Team was so good in Impact it made me start watching again after 10 years
So many wrestlers can learn from dan on how to talk and promote a match. Dan is excellent.
He’s so fuckin good , I feel like not many people in AEW would even consider it cause they already think they are good but he could teach the whole roster how to cut promos to be honest…

@Steven Bristol There's no doubt that Lambert's gimmick is a parody, or in this case a potshot, at Jim because he lives rent free in the heads of a lot of AEW's talent and their fans. Still, I liked it though. And like Jim, Dan is right in the fact that a lot of AEW's diehard fans are too sensitive to criticism. It's a safe space, you can't say anything bad about AEW at all. Sorry, but that's not how it works.
@Steven Bristol But wait, Jungle Boy can't cut a promo because he's "too scared to". I give him credit for being honest about his one flaw, but the thing is if you're too scared to cut a promo, why be in the business? Look at Bret Hart for example; when he was teaming with Anvil as the Hart Foundation, Bret admitted that he was nervous in front of the camera, but he still cut promos. Bret wasn't the best promo cutter out there, but by 1997 his promos were the best of his career. Not saying that Jungle Boy is LIKE Bret, but you get my point.

It's weird how a guy who never ever even had any type of history in show business before this and before Impact is able to make standout promos that outshine most guys in the business like he's been doing it for years.

It is definitely a sad indictment on the ability of the vast majority of talent in modern American wrestling that this comment is spot on. Dude's a natural, and with his coaching ability, he could really help guys that haven't quite clicked behind the mic yet.

We'll see...the problem is that UFC fighters aren't trained wrestlers, and their matches are usually awful. Frank Trigg vs AJ Styles is a perfect example 😅

Similarly, it's uncommon to have pro wrestlers with legit fight training. Both can be trained to do the other, but training is required.
@@rossclutterbuck1060 You mean like Ken Shamrock, Cain Velasquez, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Hagar, Riddle, Rhonda Rousey,, Shana Bazeler etc, etc? (excuse the spelling of the names, you get my point though). It's stupid because these guys are mixed martial artists and have spent years training in multiple disciplines, including actual real wrestling. Many of them have wrestled at the highest of levels before starting their mma careers. So suggesting that they can't do a couple of months of extensive training to learn the ropes of pro wrestling and be good enough to put on half decent pre=rehearsed matches, with career wrestlers that are calling the moves etc is like i said "stupid" and shows a total lack of knowledge about these guys and what they are capable of.
