You could attach some java moss to the branch/log and some small java fern between parts of the boulders....Think that would look alot better than fake plants.
It's cool to hear your plans for more livestock. Because the rays stay on the bottom, I think there is definitely room for a few more fish. I wish you could add some live plants, but I understand the concerns with them being destroyed. I'm also looking forward to features on some of your clients' tanks that you maintain.

How about kelberi peacock bass as tank mates they get to nice size

I have one but believe it or not the Malaysian Golden is now far more sort after than the Super Red. Goes in phases I'll imagine.
