SVIP & CISA: Enhancing Software Security with SBOMs

A Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) plays a critical role in software supply chain management. It acts as a component inventory list and provides insight into software supply chains, enhancing and strengthening security. The Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP) has teamed up with the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to enable the use of SBOMs through the development of tools that can easily translate between formats and integrate SBOMs with vulnerability detection capabilities.
