the egg holder isnt for stopping them being dropped and broken, its for carrying them without them getting crushed

A single AAA battery flashlight in my opinion is preferable over a two 2032 battery flashlight. Best to carry two flashlights & six batteries. In reference to the soap. I'd prefer a bar of soap and/or a small container filled with Walmart's "Equate Sensitive Skin Body Wash" which has a lot of lather.

Instead of holding the ferro rod and rubbing the knife forward, try holding the knife still and pulling the ferro rod backwards. I find it tends to be more accurate and stable.
