UNISIG B-Series BTA deep hole drilling machines are built for high-power drilling in challenging metals. Designed for use with traditional drilling, counterboring and forming tools, the B-Series maximizes tool performance for complex deep hole machining such as bottle boring. Also known as internal profiling or chamber boring, the bottle boring process extends and retracts a cutting tool inside the workpiece with CNC contouring capabilities, creating an accurate internal profile through the length of the bore.
BTA deep hole drilling is a process that accurately drills holes from 20 - 630 mm [0.80 - 24.0 in] in diameter with higher feed rates. BTA drilling uses external coolant introduction and internal chip removal for precision drilling performance, even at extreme depths-to-diameter ratios.
