- Stage 15 is what the organisers are calling an 'urban' mountain stage: 194.6km from Seregno to Bergamo with no less than 3,821m of climbing. Four categorised climbs plus two ascents of the uncategorised partly-cobbled Largo Colle Aperto are sure to cause fireworks on the roads of Lombardy!

Ben Healy is unreal, what a year he's having
Giro begins for real on Tuesday. 🔥 Congrats to McNulty - he’s been knocking on that door for so long.
I hope so but these zombies are able to make boring even those stages.
Hahha wishful thinking. Someone said that about stage 13 aswell lol.
Literally the worst giro for years and who ever when will have a hollo victory
Roglic is two seconds behind Thomas why attack?
Go #Gringo, go!
From the comments it seems like very few people are aware that the organizers loaded the final week with all the decisive GC stages... it was always going to play out like this. There's no incentive for the main favourites to do anything until then. Believe it or not, their priority isn't entertaining us, it's winning races and gaining UCI points. Riding it the way they have is the most effective strategy for a lot of them. If you want to place blame, it's on the race organizers, not the racers.
And making exciting break away stages like this give non GC teams a chance to duke it out and get tv time for sponsors. I’ve always liked how refreshing they feel
2 things to add here.
The Crans Montana Stage was massively shortend and the many Covid cases/illnesses just made the race overall closer and with less GC quality overall than it would be otherwise.
But the priority of the organisers is to entertain us.
Nothing great will happen in the 3rd week, GC riders will have a silent agreement and pick 1 stage to attack and then concentrate on the ITT.
Another reason for the Giro backloading the big mountains in the north is that year in year the organisers are hoping that in the third week the notoriously changeable spring weather has warmed to open up the high passes.
But can we talk about how awesome Marco Frigo was racing?? Dropped a million times and always getting back, he really has some willpower
It is so cool to see Brandon win the Stage as I remember racing against him in a Cyclocross race here in Arizona when he was 16 and then when he won the State Crit. at 18 in the P12 race with 40 minutes off solo! Well done Brandon!
What a stage. Healy's riding style is an absolute work of art. He flips that switch and almost starts vibrating on the bike, you can see the impending sense of doom on the other riders' faces as the gap starts to open. He even tried to slip away on a completely flat road with 90km to go, and almost got away with it.
So happy to see McNulty take a stage! Though the GC has been in a bit of a stalemate waiting for this last week the breakaways have not disappointed in making the race exciting!
Watching this live, you could tell McNulty probably had it in the bag when the 3 went clear. He rode it so well measured and professionally, looked calm the whole way. Props to Healy for almost bagging a second stage.
A fight to the very end.. Great job McNulty..
Surprisingly Armirail still in pink.
Trés bien Bruno👍
"Bravo!" for the American McNulty!
Congratulations to Brandon. All that climbing training paid off today.
Bauke still giving good results... wow.
The big revelation of this Giro is that whatever you do GCN, keep Jens Voigt as a commentator both on and off the bike. Fantastic! See if you can get him over on the GCN channel too.
Epic finish
"Surely, the race for the GC will be unpaused going into the hellish last week?"
We can only hope...
Almeida
BORA JOÃO!!! vais vencer! Anyone knows the bike size of Bruno Armirail?
GIRO 88, Well done! Sensationally entertaining. I really enjoyed the group of Italian riders talking about their experience on the Gavia, Continue presenting these looks into the history of cycling. Thank you.
❤️❤️
To whoever says Pogacar arguable dominance made racing boring, look how fun Rogalic's conservative and calculating approach to racing.
Don't know why people like Roglic, all he does is sit on the wheel or crash out. As exciting as watching paint dry
@@briangoossens1519 Hmm, why would a guy who is famous for gassing out on 3rd week not go hard on week 2, very difficult question.
@@danielkol477 don't really care it's been boring as hell to watch with these tactics. Not even bothered to watch the 3rd week
@@briangoossens1519 Good, I will do the opposite
Pogacar, THE ABSOLUTE GOAT! I miss he a lot! he has blood in the veins, few calculations and a lot of hunger of victories.
Bota Lume João 🔥
Good job McNulty! Congrats!
Mini ILis absolutely a best mountain in Italy. You should check it out. It's just in the north part of Italy. And it's iconic features of its U-shaped turn which make this fantastic to view. This is sad day for EF rider
Terbaik lah Primo
Which software is used to create the event plan for the next route 🤔 competition , i love it and would really love to know how to create route plans . Anyone who knows kindly help and I would really appreciate it . I love it
👍👍👍😊😊😊
A very good Giro for EF so far: two victories, three podium...come on guys three-peat!!!
🤙🏼
EF isn't going to get the three-peat are they? That would be cool to see in which they've had multiple chances to do so far and isn't looking like it is possible with GC action heating up. . . eventually. McNulty winning is deserved though.
Also, spectators please cut it out with the smoke! It doesn't help anybody.
Ben the Man
😊
Roglič has a deep scratch on his leg from crash...he will be fine on Tuesday, then his show starts.
We're confident there will be plenty of GC action tomorrow!
Another Super Young Rider in Irish Boy "Ben Healey" 🙏
Healy
Healy❤️
Rode a tough race, and he's also a great sport.!!!!
yup, shout-out to Healy.
Look at EF out there again!
If you go with route with elevation in same screen, it would be nicer. Thanks for the effort.
I have a question for the experts or any expert. Does a rider get pink jerseys to keep every time they win. Ie. does geraint have 5 pink jerseys from 2023. Or does the guy who won today now have 2 pink jerseys to keep? I thought that the eventual winner be the ONLY rider to keep pink jersey at the end??? Thanks and ciao.
The organisers print a lot of jerseys. Obviously, there is also a prize money associated which will go to the final winner of the jersey - the one who is in pink at the end of the Giro. Right now, the jerseys switching is just a ceremonial gesture.
I'm a bit confused by your question. If you are asking if people can keep the jersey they are wearing (the material one) then yes i think the organizer gives a new one to the leader every podium after the stage. Who wings the giro (1st after all stages) gets the throphy. Just as a funny things the gc leader also gets a peluche /stuffed animal with the jersey (at tour the france the lion, at giro the wolf/husky at vuelta i don't remember)
Yes every daily stage jersey winner keeps the jersey he won and a smallish daily prize which traditionally is put into a pot to share with all the team. The overall winner of each jersey gets a jersey indicating he is the race winner in that category plus a medal and nice trophy and a much bigger cash prize.
If there is another prize awarded with a jersey such as the famous lion toy that yellow jersey winners get in the TDF they keep these as well and they can be valuable - those lion toys in particular are sought after by collectors.
@@epincion so geraint has 5 pink jerseys to take home already???
@@hugobrown2516 not 5. Yet. Lek does.
Its roglic time!
🇺🇸🇮🇹😄
Selvinoooooo 1:53
ben healy the people’s champ
Munificent stage victory for the American Mac Nulty (UAD), the Frenchman Bruno Armirail still wearing the pink jersey ahead ! 💙💟💗🏵💮🌸🌷🌼🌹🌼🌻🌺☮☯🏳🌈!
Ben Healy..look out for him
way to go Brandon. big sky is screamin for ya!
Go, Brandon McNulty! 🇺🇸
I don't know how it happened again!
Last year also hindley played conservative until the last climb of the Giro. This year as well almost all stages are won by the break. It may be because teams have lost a lot of their riders due to covid and illness.
The last week is also incredibly tough and there's a good chance the fight for the maglia rosa will spark to life tomorrow!
Can someone please explain why the GC gap time is too significant only in one stage?
Can you reformulate?
Check stage 14 highlights
The actual GC riders are saving energy for the final week, and they know that a rider as Almiral in this case, or anyone from those breakaways will not be an actual threat for the overall win. Sometimes they just want to relax and they let the breakaway go several minutes away, regardless of the outcome from the GC standpoint, and that's how there can be time gaps such as this one. That happened on Stage 14, but everybody knows it's a matter of time for Almiral to lose the jersey in the very hard mountain stages.
Ben Healy has either: Big head and normal body, or; Normal head and *tiny* body
tiny head and tiny body. He's very tiny (except legs, obviously).
Just another stage where no-one from the GC group showed up to work
Better to be fresh on a stage that offers better return for such an effort...
1:40 foul play from rubio no?
Never thought I'd hate breakaway wins as much as I have this Giro.
Lot of good young riders... Glad to see them ride so hard.!!!
Don’t hate on the guys that actually are here to race tho, not their fault.
@@Mikeknowsbike To be fair breakaway wins are more exciting when the peloton is actually trying to chase them down.
@@narutoqweavatar Yeah I agree, but what can they do when the peleton is a bunch of zombies on a zone 2 training ride. If there wasn't for people like Denz, Healy and Gee they may aswell not have televised this giro at all.
@@Mikeknowsbike I completely agree. Watching those two guys bumping shoulders racing up that climb and then shaking hands afterwards is the most exciting thing that has happened in this Giro. Full credit to all those breakaway riders
McNattybrah.
GREAT to see an American rider take a stage win! USA USA!
Cringe.
Splendida tappa! Io c'ero!

Thrilling? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Way to go McNulty! USA!
'Will be unpaused', aka, 'will resume'.
🙈🙈🙈🙈
Ben Healy Superstar..sign him Ineos
Why, so he can be turned into a robot and never get in a break again?
Thrilling?
Almeida will won this Giro
only after roglic, geraint, caruso, pinot, dubar, kamna all abandon cos of covid.
@@sudsehun76 hahaha
Next week we will talk
I'm sure that he will be in the top 2, only Roglic can beat him
@@rafaelmoreira9961 😀 i would also pick primoz to win but 3rd week's tough climbs suit geraint more than primoz. almeida might even finish higher than primoz in GC cos primoz isn't so good in tough stages. tbh geraint is 37 yrs so u might be right.
@@sudsehun76 bro, Primoz won three Vuelta's and lost a Tour in the ITT, he is the most capable guy to win
But I believe that Almeida will suprise everyone
@@rafaelmoreira9961 u can't compare tour climbs to giro climbs. tour is for publicity and non cycling fans. giro is pure hell. also, nobody cares who wins vuelta so there's no competition there. his always fighting enric mas... maybe carapaz was his toughest competition.
If Tadej Pogacar was there in Giro possible his the one to champ
Let's go Brandon!
GREAT ride by Brandon today.!!
Can we all stop and have a moment of appreciation for the 'pink sperm' at the start of every one of these videos. that little bugger is working his ass off for us!
Can we make a non-spoiler comment section...
GC is a snooze fest because of the lack of summit finishes and Roglic saving his powder. RCS needs to learn from the Vuelta.
GC is a snoozefest because of the weather induced crashes...
@@dclark142002 Solution is giro in late august, vuelta in may instead
All drug free eh
🙄
Stewyboy3128 - You should be more concerned with getting your family members clean.. that is what is really holding you back.. cheers
no drug, just blood bag.
Don’t watch it eh?
I think we can cancel the GC here and now. Only stage wins will be up for grabs next week but no time gaps. Maybe would make some riders wake up and start racing.
Without remco this giro lost his Charme! Its very boring unfortunalty
come on, when he was in the race had a MORE SPECULATIVE behavior than Roglic and when couldn't accumulate enough time in the second time-trial, invented excuses and ran away at the speed of light, without hesitation! He didn't wait neither a rest day to see how he felt.
While I regard this Giro as one of the most boring Grand Tours I've ever seen - GC wise -, I think there has been some pretty entertaining battles in the breakaways. I would like to see a bigger spread in terms of riders - it's a bit too often the same guys in the breaks.
The Giro used to be exciting from Day 1. This year’s version is boring so far. More summit finishes please.
love the QS rider squirting the annoying plonker with the bullhorn with water.
as Borat would say, 'thumbs up'!
Good race forward..those Who should win the Giro are making It one of the worst edition..so sleepy and boring..please anybody bring us POGACAR to Giro in next years
Why tf is every stage at this giro a breakaway stage its just so boring
I’m just super bored from this Giro I’m sorry, i like the breaks to win but everyday? It’s disgusting
Welcome to stage racing...
Please stop saying Bruno Armirail so Frenchly
Yes he is boring
