- When I heard this song last week, it reminded me of when I was a child and how I used to climb up to the roof to get away from all the noise and distractions. I found peace and quiet there watching the stars, moon, and blackbirds in the sky.

Way back in 1979, I just reluctantly broken up with my boyfriend of over two years, I had met a new guy (my boyfriends new girlfriends old flame) and one night as I was suffering in sadness we went up onto the roof with this song playing in the background, it was beautiful and we laughed and laughed as some guys down the alley drowned us out with the booms and bangs of the motorcycles they were fixing, good thing, we were howling like wolves at the moon...pure ecstacy! I've never forgotten him, where are you now Joey?
I was today years old when I found out this song was written by Carole King for the Drifters in 1962! I never knew James Taylor had also recorded it later. Thanks, internet!

I was surprised seeing it in the black and white.
It looks great like the Old Fashion movies in Black & White.
They seem elegant that way. It sounds that escaping on the roof
it would be a good idea but only in Europe.
The roofs are much sturdy and with those glass lifted windows
one can view the World goes by.
