The problem with Kat is that he actually won a 3pt contest. So you can’t really tell him don’t shoot. The solution is getting him to understand that offensively the wolves will never win just by shooting the 3 at a high clip. He has to dominate the post or Rudy gone have to work on that fade away more 🤷🏾♂️🤣

The actual best shooting man ever Dirk entered the league and was considered soft for a long time, eventually though he grew up and became known as a tough player who could be a reliable closer in the clutch. KAT has all the tools to be that but that character development just never seems to come

Dirk was always tough, he had a terrible supporting cast most of his career yet the mavs were (almost) always going deep in the playoffs.
He also constantly overplayed garnett, yet the latter was always considered a tough guy, a leader, while dirk wasn't.

This is a coaching problem. You tell him to get down in the post and get to work. If you continue to let him be out there shooting threes and shooting all of those bad shots and not down there in the paint battling pull him out of the game or don't say a word.

That game 3 wolves had multiple instances of Wolves leaving Gobert on an island with guards. He’s the DPOY but he’s not able to keep up with shifty guards like Kyrie. Van Gundy even pointed out why are they leaving Rudy alone with a guard on the perimeter. He’s too big so he ain’t nimble like them. Mavs are taking advantage of bad matchups and it’s nice to see. Hopefully wolves can make this interesting, but the series is over.
