The way Jess is actively shunned for leaving the faith, and made out to be some demon....yeah they're definitely Jehovahs Witnesses
Funny how they're the demons and have the audacity to call the people who see them for who they truly are "demons"
I was thinking a branch of Mormonism, but I think you're more on the bullseye-- since there was no mention of other wives or super young 'marriage's
20 bucks says he’s cheating.
Story two the fact she says Apostate means she’s most likely Jehovah’s Witness.
I'll take that bet
That or Mormon
Sounded more Mormon to me
@@koltynromero435 No, that's not Mormon at all. Mormons don't call anyone "apostate." They also don't do child brides. And they sure as hell don't shun people if they leave. It all screams JW, and I've lost several friends to JW in exactly that way. Can't talk to them and they give you the cold shoulder and call you "choosing Satan" if you don't also join. If someone is doing that s and calling themselves mormon they aren't actually part of the church, the church and those people you might find on "documentaries" have actually little to do with each other, they're using religion and age old history that's NO LONGER PRACTICED as a cover for their bad behavior because they think it gets them off the hook via "religious reasons" but they're actually just as ignorant AF about real LDS church mormons as you are.
Ftr, I'm pagan, and follow the Irish pantheon in particular, I just know a lot about them and find people pushing nonsense as "fact" when they don't actually know jack, just as reprehensible as bible thumping hypocrites in any christian denomination.
my first guess was mormon but this applies too
Story 2 is the reason I keep both religion and the people who blindly follow said religion at arms length.
I believe it's not religion that's the problem. It's blind faith, as you pointed out. If humans used the same free will that their gods gave them, instead of taking everything god supposedly said at face value, we wouldn't have as many problems as we do.
Story 1: She did the right thing by divorcing him. I say he's the one cheating and most likely projecting.
Story 2: Hear this one before. She sister should go nuclear. It's clear that she doesn't want to leave the husband
Story 1: It’s a terrible thing to live in fear. Good on OP for making it out.
holy crow, talk about burying the lede. He KEEPS FILLED OUT DIVORCE PAPERS ON HIS DESK.
A lot of the comments/questions people ask regarding these stories are depressingly stupid. In story 1: not wanting to be under surveillance 24/7 because your husband is a controlling, abusive AH doesn't mean she's 'hiding things'. I'm sure whoever asked this would never in a million years submit to the same treatment (and neither would her husband, obviously). That's actual DARVO shit and one of the reasons people stay in abusive relationships.
Yep yep, I trust my man. I don't need to monitor him 24/7. He texts me when he gets some so I know he's safe and I do the same but we don't do Life360
There were so many men defending Alex
Jeez
Minecraft physics: you can sleep underwater.
First time seeing that and I played Minecraft since 2012
Story 1 is scary. Because so many people would write that off at first since he isn't outwardly being overly aggressive or violent yet. Abuse 101, they never start off like that. They start by slooooowly isolating you and try to cut off your avenues of escape before you even realize anything is wrong. Only then once you're trapped do they let loose and actually start with the more overtly abusive behaviour. OOP is very smart and saw the warning signs before he had the chance to do that. Remember, never write it off or ignore it when someone, even your partner, is making you uncomfortable. Because either everything is actually okay, in which case you should take a look inside and work out why you're worried. Or your instincts were correct and you aren't safe. Either way, listen to your gut.
Oh god more religious trauma yayyyyyyyyy definitely can't relate😅
Story 2: Why does this sound familiar?
i believe Rslash made a video on it but there wasn't a update for it
@@HeoBaby24 I don't watch rslash
@@jamesplayzreviews oh well that's the only person who made a video on it that i saw. him and noe mark narration
it's been read a couple times by reddit readers on youtube cause it was a popular story on reddit for a bit.
Because it’s a story that repeats over and over in the lives of people in high control religions
