😄 Welcome to episode 3 of "Let's Chat".
Can you make a relationship work if you wake up and no longer decide to be a Jehovah's Witness, BUT your spouse continues believing and practicing the religion? And how do you deal with the kids if you've been raising them as JW's, but now the parents are split on their beliefs?
Meet Wendi Renay. She woke up completely in 2020, and her husband is still a practicing JW. Listen in to see how she approached the 'I-don't-want-to-be-a-Jehovah's-Witness-anymore' discussion with her husband, and then the conversation(s) she had with her children.
    😄 ALSO:
Wendi is also a life and health coach, to which she is a positive force in helping others who have also woken up from the JW religion. Here are her links if you're interested in following up with her:

Great interview, I disassociated August 2019 after 36 years in, my husband continued going to the meetings until Oct 2019 as when he asked me a question I used jw literature and the bible then he woke up. Sending love from U.K. 💜💜🇬🇧

@Wendi Renay on TikTok too!..... thank you for sharing your story... I woke up In 2017ish but due to my husband and kids I stayed in....the overlapping generation teaching is what had me in Mental gymnastics state for years..... I finally allowed myself to research and it was over....long story short I stop going to the meetings August 2019 when my husband confronted me about not going to the meetings I started crying and told him everything..... tears running down my face and a crying mess..... I told myself if he leaves me I was ready for it......after 30 minutes of crying and telling him all I had learned he turned to me and said .... your just now realizing it’s a cult... I’ve been knowing it’s a cult!!!!!! I was shocked..... my husband was apparently a PIMO for 20 years!!! We all left August 2019....I’m glad your out and I hope your husband wakes up

Since hubby is so low key, he is probably relieved not to have so much pressure and fuss over meeting attendance and prep and being told that he is not reaching out enough. He is doing what is comfortable and at his own pace according to his schedule. I think during this lockdown more witnesses will become comfortable with the fact that being a witness does not have to be life encompassing with a set number of ministry hours. And now that they can take the meeting on the go with zoom and camera off, when the doors open to the hall again, I would not be surprised to hear of a great decrease. Any way, good that the wife feels happy and supported; and hope that the won't be any pressure or issues if the kids want to become active.

I'm catholic and my husband is JW. We are both strong in our beliefs but have attended very little of either of our religious meetings, I think out of respect of each other. We also have a 7 year old who is starting to ask questions on why we're different and why our families are different. It's interesting and we just take everything a day at a time. As well as try to be as open as we can if she has any questions.

James, how can you possibly be bright enough to see through this ridiculous religion but still remain a Christian?
Did you not realise that part of the problem of being a JW isnt just how corrupt and disgusting the religion is, but how ridiculous and immoral The Bible and Christianity are.
Why on earth would you want to follow and worship a disgusting monster like the god of the bible?
Youve escaped one barmy religion and jumped into another. You havent escaped anything. Wake up.
You talk about brain washed, yet you still believe something laughably naive and absurd.

Ever since the generation overlap crap I've been very vocal about it; one good evening at dinnertime, in a very calm conversation, I told Him my feelings about it being just another religion with some very nice people but that was all to me. He understood and we're alright, having a great time together as usual. He used to be more into it, but not so much since the covid mess.
