i dont have terrain tools in my package manager
Hello, so i did all the steps you said at the beginning, and i still can't find Terrain tools, i use the newest version of Unity (because i just started), i need help

is there a setting to flatten an area only? Like making a mountain and just flatten the top or parts of it without changing the height limit.
@@user-zr1en1hq3o Hello. You need to go into Edit>Project settings>Package Manager and click the button "enable preview packages". It will show the terrain tools.

Thank you so much man this really helped! if you have any ideas on how to make some sort of more complicated mechanics in a game such as damage, items, respawn, saving, climbing, or a sprint bar a video on one of those would be really helpful.

I dont have the option to pick terrain toolbox. Is it a new thing and its just renaimed or did I mess up somehow? If someone knows the answer I could really use the help.

In texture 2d it doesnt show me any thing how to fix?
new project 2022.3, but on play, a massive ish 16 tile terrain per terrain system tools, player walks and terrain fades IN with highest peaks zero visibility, and im not using fog. What would cause this and how do I force all terrain to be visible on play ? My computer can handle it.
Hey, I'm a beginner and I'm learning from you! But while I was designing the terrain my cursor stopped letting me zoom or move my camera after sometime. I can't find anywhere to fix this problem. It's giving me a warning and error in the console section and the warning says "Null reference exception: object reference not set to an instant of an object"... It again starts working after sometime, how can I fix this? Please help me out

There holes in my brushes the brushes leave deep and sharp holes when I use them how can I fix it

You did not say enything about that warning in console,i m getting it and error to ? What is all about that? How to fix it-in inspector then when i select terrain al got bloory an messy... can you help? No one saying abot that..help please
you need to install universal RP from the package manager and than right click packages on the project window and select reimport all, that will solve the problem...
How do I achieve symmetry? or Mirror the brushes?
I didn't see Enable Preview Packages tho.
There is no terrain tools tab in the package manager in unity 2019.4.31f

Hi there. Just started learning about terrain from this vid and have a question about external assets for terrain (i.e. trees, grass, etc). Is using image files recommended for terrains in Unity? Or actual models (renders)? I've probably answered this from my experience but if you have the knowledge from what Unity recommends off the top of your head, I'm picking it! Lol. I added a grass jpg file for a project and it looks awful! Thanks! =).

this tutorial is out of date, DONT use it.
did you find one that is up to date? i can't find terrain tools
@@shido7068 i used it recently on unity 2020 version , maybe you have a too old version
