I love how gaku's ninjutsu turned aggressive when he became a fuma, you can see in his first fight that his ninjutsu leans more on the finesse side of fighting

Just finished it's pretty solid. If it gets a second season I would definitely watch it.
Its A good show. Pretty well done fight sequences. Storyline is passable and theres some humor sprinkled in.
Haru's romance subplot was useless and annoying..I skipped most of those scenes.
@panamaniankilla 1 yeah, Haru romance scenes made me anxious. It's because how Karen was a super curious cat with a super annoying, selfish, and like to force her agenda to everyone including Haru. Maybe that's why her name is 'Karen'.
It's cute, heartwarming, with occasional beautifully choreographed fights like this.
@@wolfshield2499I actually really enjoyed it. Watching their development over the course of the show, especially the first 5 episodes was so incredibly interesting. At first their meeting seems like a coincidence, but due to both their pasts that they cannot reveal until later, they can’t act on anything no matter how much they care for each other. Karen is also a perfect catalyst to bring out some emotion from Haru, who is probably the most interesting character in the show.
I might just be yapping, but I just enjoyed their dynamic. Romance can be a hard thing to get right and it certainly isn’t for everyone, but I believe the way they handled the relationship between Karen and Haru was done well. It was tasteful, consistent, and organic. It may not be the most interesting romance, but it has my approval writing-wise

Yep and that's exactly what the younger brother is using. It's adequate for corridors fighting as ninjas/shinobi where spies crawling here and there if necessary. You can also easily use a reverse grip on those smaller swords
but when there is enough space, the samouraï sword is at an advantage and that's what the elder brother is using
I honestly thought that look haru gave Gaku after he said that was him Finally, snapping and his first ever kill was going to be his own brother. I'm so glad I was wrong and we got that super clean scene of him incapacitating him. Gaku was right. Haru is the best fighter out of the both of them.

Yeah, it so many plot holes and mischemistry between characters throughout the series, it could be better imo.

the series was a bit boring because the main character was a stereotype anime character that have skill, living in kill or be killed environment, but still doesnt want to kill anyone at all. Kenshin was still ok because at least he is taking action to fight. But this series protagonist was a meh

It’s still not boring, it’s just too slow for majority of the part. He’s like most normal people(not cold-blooded single-minded killing machine), he was born and forced into it.

Why the brother betrayed the family
Because Haru a bitch and the Fuma nursed him back to health while opening his eyes to the government’s dirt that his family and ninja association blindly follow.
Fuma showed him the ugly side of ninjas and converted him to believe whatever a fuma believes
Brother was enlightened by a cult leader, prompting him to question his loyalty and the cause he served.
@@kaolidwe will find out in s2 hopefully, I don’t think he cares about FUMA ideology , listen to what he said when he became the 20th, he wanted to take control using a puppet president, his goal is not make Japan #1 super power again which his blood family always served the country anyway.
If compared to Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li or Tony Jaa, these fight scenes look very weak.

Some of the clashes lack impact. For all it's beautiful choreography it is a fight sometimes it looks too unnatural almost like a dance.

not perfect, but much better than ugly shaky hollywood action camera
of course, it's not korean or western production, of course it's ugly.
Probably not showing enough choreography, but I think it represented what ninja supposed to do. They were assassin, they moved supposed to be efficient, short clean but deadly. No need for grand move or acrobatic fight scene, because in real life to much movement eat up your energy faster.
