This clip shows perfectly how a laugh track would ruin Arrested Development
It's just different types of show. You get some immense shows with laughter tracks like black books. That show was genius. Shows like friends, how I met your mother and the big bang theory make laughter tracks look ridiculous but sometimes they work as a thing.
I think if they had of used it they wouldn’t have done it like other shows. Exactly like the show itself they would have created something new with it. My opinion only, of course
It would be really weird for a one-camera show to have a laugh track lol...there's no live audience, it's not part of the format, so the TV audience would know they're literally just inserting fake laughter XD (which they do on those other shows, but mix it with real laughter, as well).

@@Buggaton I believe Frasier, for example, actually benefits from a laugh track, and would feel emptier and lack a certain warmth without it. It's real audience laughter rather than the canned variety, which makes a big difference. Whereas Arrested Development would suffer greatly if one were added, even if it was proper organic laughter from a real audience like Frasier uses. You're absolutely right about different shows having different needs (and a few shows not using it well).

I love how when Conan brings up his hand being torn off, Tony unconsciously rubs his left wrist. Must've been annoying holding that apparatus for like 3 seasons.

@@tylersimmons7742 Me too. I'm sure i've watched the whole series more than 5 times, and i still catch jokes i missed the first 5+ times. Insanely well-written; layers of humor. AD is in it's own league imho.

Season four was rough but it did have it's moments
I think I am the only one who actually managed to enjoy it!
It really needs to be watched more than once to really appreciate all the little jokes
you arent a lot of people liked it but i think it's pretty unanimously considered the weakest season even by people who enjoyed it. but a bad ad season is still better than most comedy shows.
I think they just tried to do a unique format on shooting it. Part of it might have been due the the fact they couldn't get all the actors together at the same time. But you do have to watch it twice to really appreciate it.
It was possibly the weakest, yes. But AD for me is more about how it all comes together at the end, and this one still delivered in that area tbh. But I get it.
They should have never rebooted this show. The original run was absolute perfection & is arguably the best sitcom ever!

It's interesting how actors often don't watch or even understand the plot of the things they are in.
I'm sure he knew what was going on but said he had no idea to emphasize how ridiculous the situation he was in was.

Honestly, I've done theater for years and half the time I don't even really know the entire plot of the show until the week before. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but you don't go to rehearsals where you aren't needed and you're hidden backstage when it's not your turn to be up front. I know that TV is a lot different, but you don't really even need to know why your character is doing something as long as you are able to act the scene. It's always struck me as odd, too, because me friends will ask "so what's the show about?" And I'm kinda left scratching my head half the time.
They shoot scenes out of order and are only on set for THEIR scenes and no one else's.
He probably went in, shot that attic scene, took a day or two off then shot a scene in the model home for an earlier episode
Thats how marvel keeps their big movies plots with minimal to no leaks.

I just rewatched every single episode last week and can confirm this was not in any of the prior episodes. This is most definitely from season 5. Though, that hand he's rocking is probably not a new one but, as he said, the skin of his big-ass hand is in the drier.
