I can personally stomach the gore on GOT and have enjoyed the show, but i relate to Tony. I almost bailed on Suits because the constant confrontations and betrayals were too stressful for me. Conan and the other could have been more respectful of Tony’s sensitivity here IMO.

I'm with Tony Hale. Not just with GoT, but with most television. There is so much good drama and stuff out there, but my god, life is hard enough and stressful enough as it is. I don't have much capacity to fill my entertainment time with horror, awfulness, and stress!

Seriously! There’s nothing wrong with not liking to watch certain things. Making fun of someone for being sensitive to violence and crassness is rude and unprofessional. I normally love Conan, but I was getting mad.

Fair enough. I tend to look away during those scenes too. It hits you hard with something awful.
I haven’t even attempted it because I’m very sensitive to any kind of violence. I don’t even like sad movies. Haha

Im glad someone agrees with me... I READ GoT and that still was too brutal for me. I mean, I can stand good old splatter, but showing how cruel and mean humans are makes me sad. Also, there are rape-y scenes and that is disgusting to me. I mean, this world is bad enough already, why create new, worse ones.

The writing on Thrones is good I think but there are elements that would be off putts big for a lot of people. Also almost every character you invest in getting killed gets tiring. I would however watch a side show just about Peter Dinklage’s character.
Peter Dinklage is one actor who I thought if dies, I would stop watching for sure. Thank got it's not the case yet! #Spoilers
I have nothing but respect for GOT. Incredible production value, the cast is extraordinary, and at its best it has some of the accumulative storytelling power of long-form series like THE WIRE and BUFFY and . But the violence and especially the cruelty of certain characters just became too much; the show became more like an endurance test than something to look forward to.
