Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"
With the possible exception of Sam Richardson (who plays Richard Splett), every core cast member on Veep could say "My character is an awful person" and have a ring of truth to it.
Calling it that Splett would become president. Veep needs a happy ending.

Selina's funeral is interrupted by news that Tom Hanks is dead, showing that America cares more about a likable Hollywood actor dying than a terrible president who did nothing to fix her own country.

Veep is easily in my top 10, and as far as the writing, #1. So clever and quick I have to rewind to catch a joke sometimes.

Just my 2 cents. I really liked the camera coming up from a new angle, seeing as I haven't been to the studio, it gives me more of an idea of how it looks like being in the audience.
You should watch a taping if you're in NYC! I did, this Spring. It was a ton of fun, and not hard to get tickets - they are 100% free , you just have to sign up in advance and show up early on taping-day to reserve your spot. Then you leave, have lunch or a drink, and come back for the taping in mid-afternoon.

I disagree with Tony, I don’t think Gary is a horrible person, I think Gary is loyal to a fault, and while his codependency with Selina isn’t healthy it certainly isn’t horrible. I really love Gary. He was the one guy that you wanted to see win.

Not if you look back before 2000. It was a lot more random of which party would be blue or red. Also, look at the states that she won. A mix of Democratic and Republican states.

I think of Selina's party as being a fictional one, it's basically democrats but if they were further right wing. It almost feels like a system in which there is not a two party system at all.
