Dope video! Trained for a month at MAA last summer, also managed to squeeze in a few private sessions at Chinnarach. Coming back soon for more training and hopefully a fight👊
@Just Torrell I just saw your fight, the Frenchman already had boxing fights under his belt, his English boxing is very strong ! It was a very hard fight for a first !
That guy looked like a heavyweight
Hi , left msg b4 , but don't know what happend ..? i wonted to know location of were you stayed in those bamboo little huts you were in ? in the last vid .? handy to know cheap accommodation / just the basics for thraing ext ext . thanks bud,
I really hate the music in background and the transitions too. TY!!!
Looked like your opponent weighed in a lot more than you did. Respect! You held up good for just 2 month of training 👍💪
Indeed that guy was like 2-3 weight classes above you easily. Not gonna learn much fighting guys like that, since the big guy was only throwing low and middle kicks trying to break yours, and, even if you block, his bone structure is big enough that he'll still do more damage to you than he did to himself.
The way to beat a bigger guy like that is through much better technique, timing knees to his punches and disrupting his kicks by always being either closer or further than his kick preferred distance and looking for angles. All things you can't ask someone with just 2 months of training.
You did great tho, but ask to fight guys of ur weight class.
Same thing happened to me at the same gym. I fought and won 3 fights in 8 weeks. Went back to the US, came back to Thailand and Chin had a monster for me to fight that outweighed me by at least 50 lbs. lost that one in the 4th round and my leg was so swollen it had to be cut open. 3 months of hell and a permanent injury for me.
I was about to say bro 😂😂
He weighed at least 18-20 kg more
@ you learn alot from fighting out your weight class. Especially head movement and footwork. When you put it in your own weight class you take less punishment.
@@churchofsatan2041 Nah not when u just started, and not on a real fight. Sparring with different opponents, bigger, longer reach, smaller but faster, etc is indeed good to learn, but going into a fight like this is all kinds of bad. Will lose the fight, won't learn anything and possibly get some long-term injury.
it took me 1,5 years to fight my first amateur and it was with shin guards and headgear. It takes some real balls to get in the ring with 2 months experience against a heavier and more experienced guy. Mad props.
Exactly what I was thinking, most people will train at least a year before fighting and it’ll be with protective gears, mans got massive balls to do thai rules after just a couple weeks fair fucks
I’m never taking off shin pads 😂
@@Idkchangethislater just had my first fight without shin pads yesterday, it wasn't a big deal after all I just built it up in my head more. If you are accurate with your kicks and don't kick knees and elbows during sparring you should be fine.
Respect
My g, I sent you a DM on insta
Great series. Congrats dude! The CZcams algorithm is recommending more new CZcamsrs these days
Wtf, seen you on two Muay Thai videos in the past two days Jake! Love your videos, you wanting to learn muay Thai? lmao
bro for the love of god please return to your old video format
lol
crazy seeing jake tran here but cool
@@slick2876 He's been doing it for a while man
I've never done any fighting in my life and am 26yr old. I started Muay Thai in the US recently and i went for 3 days straight i pushed through the soreness for the 2nd and 3rd day but now my leg is bruised my abs hurt and I couldn't walk without soreness all over, I'm planning to go back to training this next week and start to go for 4 days of training a week . You are already doing a full match after only 2 months... You're an inspiration brother.
Keep going 👍🏾
Welcome to the game. The pain doesn’t stop. You’re a week in. Keep the complaints to a minimum stay humble and keep going. Or don’t. It’s up to you buddy. Good for you for challenging yourself.
Ive been doing it for around 5 years, it gets easier on the body with time.
@@Bbbbbbb690 and I’m just coming up on 4 years with 4 fights. Ben Dover is right lol
when i started bjj my trainers didnt let me train more than 2 times / week the first couple of months because the body has to get used to all the hard throws, sweeps and the wrestling you get bruises all over and the ribs getss reallllyyy sore so it builds up and gets used to the power pushed on it over time it gets better and the body gets used to it
Hey Torrell,
I discovered your CZcams channel last week. This has to be one of the best CZcams channels period. Keep going. The results of this fight, which I won’t spoil, will only inspire others more. This outcome was perfect in the grand scheme.
The editing and music selection is like a hallucination and it’s amazing. You’re meant for this. Keep training. Share what you’re learning and keep being vulnerable.
Goats recognize goats. Love your stuff Cody.
Major Respect for only training for 2 months. just watched the whole fight. opponent obviously had a little more experience and was way heavier but, you held your own and did not let the pain interfere with the objective. True Warrior spirit. remember that your first fight you most of the time only remember a certain amount of what you learned because of the heavy mental load in the ring and the amount of pressure. People tend to forget this. This will become better when sparring and fighting more. So for this little training doing so good in an 5x3min fight for you must be a inspiration for alot of people and if not, you will be later. i wish you nothing but the best. subbed and followed the ig.
Mad respect man. A fight like that after 2 months, the courage, big up! And the music and editting, dope af
Well done Torrell. Love that you’re putting it all out there, without editing it to only your highlights. Huge respect 💪🇮🇪
Yeah Buddy I hope you enjoyed your first fight !
A piece of advice, use your hands a lot more : you always throw low kicks without hiding them, no faints. So use your hands and throw combinations. Then your low kicks will be more effective and the opponent won't block them as easily. And your shins will thank you. Keep it up mate !
