  • I personally am not too fond of manual lenses but I think they play such a big role in photography even in the age of digital and auto-focus. I think every photographer should have at least a few manual lenses, specifically budget or cheap manual lenses at one point in their photography lives. This lens from Astrhori may very well be the most value for money cheap piece of glass you can get today

I use the Astrhori 75mm with my GFX 100 for fine art capture, these lenses are way too underrated. This lens has a very flat field without the lens profile, it also has corner to corner sharpness and it is as sharp as any fixed native Fujifilm fixed focal length lenses (it beats Fujifilm GF zoom lenses on sharpness). What troubles me is that many top Japanese lenses now rely too much on lens profile to correct lens distortions while the Chinese manufacturers correct them on their lens design, something many people have overlooked.
People discriminate against these 'cheap Chinese lenses' based on the price, people are indoctrinated to believe the more expensive are better, these new cheap Chinese lenses prove how wrong can that be.
