  • After wrapping up filming downtown, I decided to head up to Alum Rock to see if I could find anything. Having REALLY bad luck trying to find a friendly driver here last year, my hopes weren't high. I drove around and having not found anything, I was just about to head off. On the last street, I ran into one of the divisions' only Peterbilt 320 Heils. I thought "what the heck" so I turned around and was met by an extremely friendly driver. I can't say thank you enough because my last experience really soured my perception of the Alum Rock drivers
The Recology South Bay division I believe has three of these Peterbilt 320 Heil Pythons (one for each stream). I recalled seeing one with an older "half circle" PTO cutout grill as well. These were sourced from all the way out in Midvale, UT operated by the Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District, purchased used sometime in 2020, and brought over here. They replaced some of the WXLL Heil Pythons and 7000s we had (I know this because I now see photos of them in Oregon -_-). Besides these being unique in the aspect that they're mounted on Peterbilt 320s as opposed to the typical Autocar ACXs, they also have flat tailgates and various wrap designs which were inherited from the previous operator of these trucks.
Big thank you to Roman for allowing me to film & gifting some PPE supplies! (hope I got that name right)
    Enjoy the video!

Glad you found a truck with a nice driver. Yeah can be discouraging when most drivers are skeptic about it. The flat tailgate was interesting. I never tire of the Recology Pythons!

This truck looks like one of several 320 pythons the Wasatch front waste district runs, it's spec-ed out similarly with the body, tailgate, python arm, and cab
