My opinion of him in the beginning was the same as everyone elses when i wasnt into the sport and hes just on tv as "the best", but then i realized the ufc is gonna walk this mfr around like the jordan of their sport and hes roided up to the teeth and has numerous charges and run ins with the law that would have ended any other fighters career . @TAKEDOWN Jones didn't pop in this fight plus when he did pop it was for pico-grams which if you know anything about PED's you'd know that pico-grams are so small they won't affect performance plus the second time he popped it was for a carryover drug and wouldn't have affected performance as confirmed by USADA how was his fight with Santos a draw when Jones landed more sig strikes in almost every round except the first I'll admit the fight with Reyes was real close could've gone either way especially when you factor in Jon's 2 takedowns but even the GOAT's like GSP and Silva have losses on their records so again that argument is invalid

I remember watching this live and calling a friend, he had a shitty connection so he couldn’t watch it. I explained him what was happening and man I got goosebumps when Gustafsson took shots and kept coming forward like a warrior.

It was a stormy day when I watched this fight. I really thought Gustafsson was gonna win because his takedown defense, striking and takedowns were impressive but Jones showed everyone that he is champion and walked away with the title still in his hands by decision. It's been almost 7 yrs. when this fight happened and I still remember it clearly. I'm really glad it finally earned its rightful place in the UFC Hall of Fame 2020. Congratulations!

No that was no robbery jones was taking damages and also damaging his opponent a gr8 fight but Reyes fight was totally different look at gus and check out reyes after fight .. jones is not the same and reyes won that fight that one was Robert even the expressions tell you the whole story .. check out jones reaction when bruce buffer announces the winner in both fights to will understand .. here jones is confident but in reyes fight he was standing wondering and worried ..

I rewatched this fight. At the end of round 4 they showed "head strikes landed" Gustafson had the lead 88-18 not to mention all the body strikes an leg strikes Gustafson landed. I see no way jon won any of the first 3 rounds

The statue is a slow starter and almost same in every fight and not the one to call out champion .. it was izzy who called him out said he will finish him and that's not even close to finishing what we saw in fight ... even standing statue in my opinion romero won the fight he threw only hard hitter punch of whole fight and after that izzy didnt come close he understood hes fucked up by choosing a wrong opponent ... Romero should not get another title shot it's enough.. last 5 fights 4 title fights for romero 😂

That not how fights are determined. Those first three where super close on the scoring while the last 2 where heavily in the favor of Jones. Had the fight gone on another round or 2 Jones would've finished him. And IMO that weighs a lot more on the scoring.

You compete by round and nothing else matters like Jones looked good the last two rounds (which he did). Unless it is a 10-8 round.. Don't come with that "if this was a street fight..." and this is not the old pride rules. Gus maybe put his game plan to go all in the first 3 rounds, and just cruise the last two. That's why most people think Reyes won against Jones...
