My last batch of songs were all about King Kamehameha. So maybe, I will don’t more about those bastard human flesh eating Hawaiian demigods. Honestly, thanks to all the stories, legends, and history. I have so much material to pull from to make death metal songs for at least until I’m 70.

@@24FRETSHARKFIN Thanks man. I did this with no actual training. Using a Boss BR900CD. Guitar ran in to a line 6 m5 set to screamer. In to a Soldano and Mesa amp sim in the BR900. Then I played bass. The drums are from the built in drum machine. I’m not even using the cheapest vocal mic I could buy. I’ve been dabbling in recording for almost 20yrs. I’ve had some rough sounding shit in the past

Thank you. I put a lot of work in to my playing. I want both guitar parts to be heard. So mixing is very important. I do wish the bass line was a smidge more audible. During the verses. It’s doing a lot of work. But overall I thought it sounded pretty good. For a guy that learned just by moving sliders on my mixing board

What I like about KA'AI is that there was a period where death metal had a lot of melody but was still brutal. You don't get a lot of that done well these days, or at least that I've noticed.
Thanks man. That was a time period I miss too. Also, I think the art of the riff itself is gone. My stuff sounds like this. Simply because it’s what I want to hear. I loved that early 90’s melodic death metal. Where it had melodies that stuck in your head. But, you still heard the song and wanted to beat your friends ass. Because it was fuckin heavy
