Usually when there's a fallen brother's ceremony, you have half of the room present be military uniforms and the other half be public services such as police officers. But that day, half the room present was people in airmen uniforms. What a surprise I didn't see the other half be police officers . Speaks volumes.

That was a beautiful service. Many beautiful things said about that young man. He dedicated his life to defend our country only to come home and be killed by the enemy on our own soil. God be with his family and relieve the pain in their hearts and to always keep his memory in their hearts and minds.

I had been critical of the DOD and Air Force as the police chief was holding PR stunts trying to cover for the killer but this was quite moving and I appreciate the Air Force for showing up in force to lay this young man to rest.
The DOD doesn't control what the state police say or do. Completely separate entities, but otherwise you are spot on. And as usual, I doubt anything will happen to the fool that was on the other end of the murder weapon. Thanks for honoring a fallen hero and fellow vet, Desantis. 💩

This just shows the discipline the airman has and the bravery he had !! I had a grizzly bear try to attack me from 30 feet away in Alaska and I could not shoot it until it charged at me !! Airforce soldiers are extremely valued and when they die in the field they are deeply honored. After dozens of successful, dangerous missions, for him to die on American soil is disgusting and very telling of Americans sickness. America is sick.

Did you watch the footage from the shooting by any chance? You do realize that the officer knocked and identified himself as a sheriff several times, right?
In what world does it make sense to answer the door with a handgun after someone has identified themselves as a police officer? Like, honestly think about the situation. If it were a black cop and a white tenant, would it be ok for the tenant to answer the door with a gun? What about an asian cop and asian tenant? Purple cop, cyan tenant? You're adding color to a situation where color doesn't matter - don't open the door when a police officer is knocking with a gun in your hand. Color doesn't matter.
I don't mean to dismiss the fact that skin color makes a difference in some police interactions. It absolutely does, and there are many, well-documented cases where a black man died unlawfully because of a police officer's bias. But any reasonably person reviewing the body came footage in this situation should recognize that this isn't a cut and dry police murder case.
