    Brother, i love your videos! I hope our Lord keeps on blessing you so that you can keep on blessing us. I also enjoy your thoughts on the song. It's always a blessing, brother. May our Lord bless you, your family and your ministry. In a way, you are our pastor, brother. You lead us to worship our Lord the best that we can.

They opened worship with this and I was TOTALLY 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻!! I was additionally blessed to be there on that Tuesday for special worship with The Belonging Co with Kari Jobe/Cody Carnes/Henry Seeley/Meredith Andrews. Completely SLAYED. Bless you man! • @fishmank27
    @fishmank27 Před 6 lety

    So is this straight into your mixer and into ableton? I hear some of those nuances in the tones you get early on from the drive and reverb interacting. Sounds more like a real amp. Or r u micing a cab? I have a helix and have not quite gotten that “thing” to happen although I love it. I may post a video on this song with the Helix soon we will see. This is the best I’ve seen tone wise so far.

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  Před 6 lety

      Yes, straight into Ableton from the Kemper. I think that “thing” you’re hearing is what happens when you place the delay before the amp. In all my Helix presets, I put a delay block before the amp. Creates that compressed-repeats and artifacting thing. I have a huge sale going for Helix presets right now if you want to check some out.

    • @fishmank27
      @fishmank27 Před 6 lety +1

      Guitar for HIS Glory Yeah I’ve tried doing some patches as if running my board into an amp which does those cool nuances but can’t get that to react in that manner on helix so not sure why. I would think it still could and this video tells me it should be possible.

  • @carsencityphotography
    @carsencityphotography Před 2 lety

    Someone please enlighten me. Why is it when he strums a chord it sounds awesome at first then as it rings out it gets even sweeter and mellow-er? I feel like I’m chasing that sound and could really use some guidance. Thanks!

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  Před 2 lety

      I use reverb as a sustain pedal of sorts. I turn it on and off when needed.

    • @carsencityphotography
      @carsencityphotography Před 2 lety

      @@GuitarforHISGlory Nice! Thank you for the reply. So would you say it’s the tail of the reverb that’s mellow? So when it rings out the highs fade away but the warmth continues, or something?

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  Před 2 lety

      @@carsencityphotography I’d day that’s accurate. It melts everything together,
      creates sustain and reduces the “in your face” aspect. I use a completely separate verb on top of my main verb for that. I explain all this in the video titled Reverb As A Sustain Pedal at GuitarforHISGLORY.com if you’re interested!

    • @GuitarforHISGlory
      @GuitarforHISGlory  Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks, Andrew. No. I never went full Kemper; the setup, since switching from a humongous pedalboard going into the Kemper, has always been hybrid Kemper/analog overdrives with a few other pedals mixed in. I still have the Helix as well.
