    The lead works better for me if it is all done as "PULL OFFS" starting at the 10th fret on the 1st string ---- Pull off at the 10th fret [3rd finger] = then pull off the 9th [second finger] = landing the note from the 9th to the 7th on your first finger = then carry that B note down from the 7th sliding down your 1st finger to the 5th fret onto the A note - then jump over to the B string and end with the last two notes on the B string at the 7th then the 5th of the B string - my two cents worth ;-) thanks for the video it helps a bunch!! Blessings, Bob~ *** EDIT *** .... well, at worship practice tonight I ended up slightly altering that idea. I kept the "pulls" on the high E string going from 10th to 9th to 7th, but then I changed it to adding a "hammer" on the 10th fret of the B string, then down to the 7th of the B string, and ending on the 9th of the G string - this worked out great! Doing the fingering in this manner enables me to play the notes really fast but with VERY little "effort" to make them ring out - the end result sounded just like the lead on the sound track IMO... just in case anyone is interested ;-) Bob~

      That's a great way to play it as well. For those interested, what @rightfromtheheart is talking about is walking down the 1st position of the Minor Pentatonic scale (in this case, the Bm Pentatonic). The way I've taught in this tutorial is playing the lead part within the 4th position of the Bm Pentatonic scale. It's really up to the player which one feels the most natural - and also which one sounds better. Playing the notes on the E and B strings will sound different than playing them on the B and G strings. Thanks!

      @@worshiptutorials Thanks again too, you are WAY more knowledgeable in guitar theory and scales than I am. I can only play by ear and don't know positions or scales or all that useful information - HA! We are doing this song in praise and worship this Sunday, and I had never heard before -love it! I needed the help! Thanks again :-)

      @joshuakeller6687 Před 4 lety +3

      He's using a Line 6 Helix so he has all the patches pre-programmed for each section. There would be a lot of pedal tap dancing going on to achieve the variety of tones he is playing here. I have a Line 6 Firehawk and I have a patch for intro and chorus that I dial in. You can still do it with a pedalboard it would be more difficult that's all.

    On the chorus, why jump down to frets 7-8 for the G chord? You’ve got the same chord right there at the 12th fret with a simple bar. Economy of motion.
