30 yards should be the standard waterfowl range that’s what we’ve concluded in our pattern testing as well

Would you mind showing how you shim the shotgun I think I need to do the same just haven't done it and not sure if I'm thinking correctly on how it's done besides that great clip and yes I think the last one shot the best

They’re a great gun. A lot of my friends have the 12ga. Franchi and are very happy with it

Shims are made to fit the gun to you. They won’t change your point of aim. If your standing , you should adjust for the proper sight picture.

Thanks for this... People are so conditioned to say 'shim it' if it shoots high. The fact is, the Franchi's are made to shoot 60/40 with a 6 o'clock hold. If you sight down the rib and put the bead on the red, you're going to be worse than 60/40. Shimming just gets the gun to shoot where you look for instinctive (not aiming) shooting. And the reason I ditched the Franchi Aff 3.

You should really look at Muller Chokes. RR is great, but the Muller is next level

That raptor 3 holds a damn tight pattern. It’ll kill a bird easily out to 30-35yds. No need for a 40yd shot on ducks.

The raptor turkey choke is a .564 constriction
