    Yeah. I created a spreadsheet on Google so I can be consistent with my prices & always have access. Select my shirt size, design requirements (1/2/3 color & sizes used), mark up, add labor, & spit out my price.

    I charge 5 bucks a foot for both, because decals also require the transfer tape.

  • @kangculture4424
    @kangculture4424 Před 3 lety +1

    Hey big Brandoh I’m sure you probably covered my question but I hadn’t found it ....how would I charge for my labor if I’m using transfers and make a descent profit....in my mind ...my time only consist of me pressing down the heat press and packing the shirts up to ship.... if I can get 24 shirts done in a 1-2 hours max at $10-20 an hour and I charge them for material cost does that mean I make a $10-$20 profit off of a 24 shirt order...I know I’m probably missing something I definitely appreciate all the GAME you give and look forward to your response

      @BigBrandoh  Před 3 lety +2

      check out my videos about labor charging. it'll help you out with getting a better grip on what your labor is worth to you. i cant put a price on your labor for you cuz i dont know what its worth. i know what my labor is worth and in the vid i show how i find out what its valued at.

    Your cheating yourself homeboy on directly passing on the cost of goods sold, I automatically figure out my cost then mark up material 35% to cover my overhead etc plus labor or you end up cheating yourself over time, especially with inflation its crucial you add that markup to keep you afloat. Have a Great day!

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  Před 11 měsíci

      i wouldnt call it cheating myself. i would say we have 2 different approaches to business. i own and operate 4 successful and profitable print shops. theres not only 1 way to run a business. if marking up material cost 35% works for you, thats cool. but to blatantly say somebody is cheating themself is a wild statement. hahahaa i like to give blanket statements of how pricing works to those who watch so they can formulate their own. but if somebody reading your comment buys a 12" roll of vinyl for $18 and then see's that you mark up materials by 35% now theyre charging a customer $24-$25 for materials alone. they'll end up losing business because their pricing will be off because they arent finding the best price of goods in the first place. get me?
