The last bow I bought in 2000 was a Hoyt and it s still running . I have a matthews , bow tech marquis which is a great bow still , amazing . I stopped by the archery shop to grab a few arrows and ended up trying a few bows . The torrex was the winner and I didn’t even know it was $699. I thought it was a $1500 bow because it shoots like one . This bow is a good one to get not just because of the price but it’s accuracy and forgiveness is excellent . It’s got good balance , low vibration , quiet. It’s not made of the greatest materials like the flagship bows but hot damn it shoots amazing and I was sold on that alone . Thanks for the vids bro . Is the back wall spongy or hard, I know most people consider a good back wall to be a hard back wall but I know some people like the spongy, looking to buy one but the back wall means alot to me
I just ordered my Torrex XT today because of this review!! Ordered mine in black out with 65lb max limbs. I’m also a 27.5” draw length too. Hopefully I get around 265fps with a 435 grain arrow. I’m also a lefty. Bare bow was $760.35 tax and all.
I have a torrex xt at 70# set to 28" with 468 grain rip tko elite arrows and I get 286fps. Impressive bow. And the arrows are extremely strong when compared to other carbon arrows. If you want to get more speed with your setup I suggest the vap xv arrows. Micro diameter and only about 6.2gpi

These are great bows even when compared to the more expensive models. One thing that is not often mentioned is the strength of the riser of Hoyt bows. They test their bows through 1500 dry fires. These are tough bows that can hold up to back country use. This is important when you are miles into the hunt and you need to depend on the bow to not fail.
Bro your vides are very detailed they are great i was really interested and stuck between the torrex and torrex xt your video gave me everything I needed to go down to the local shop and get me one and I love it i upgraded from my power max and I love that bow but the xt performance is undeniable
Great review. You have been a huge help to us. I am looking to get back into compound bow hunting. I sold a 15+ year old High Country last year because I wasn't using it. I got a crossbow for my daughters a few years ago & have been using it. But it just isn't the same. Money is an issue so the best bow for the money is a must.

I think this would be a good choice for mid-tier bow. but i dont think mid-tier bows should have polymer/plastic limb pockets if even they are rugged and reliable. bear $500 bows have metal limb pockets.
I just got done comparing the Torrex xt to multiple other bows at my local archery shop.I ended up purchasing the xt.hands down the winner in my book can’t to start flinging some arrows with it
Going next week to get this bow. Wanted to upgrade from my old mathews to a hoyt and for 5he price kitted out for just deer and turkey hunting seems like a good deal. Plus everyone seems yo sat decent things about it lol
You should review the Hoyt torrex xt again compare to me Hoyt line out I think the torrex xt still is faster than others when testing at 70lbs 350g arrows in previous test still can hit 330fps even faster than new Hoyt

Just tried the Torrex and the bowtech amplify today. I went with the amplify. Noticeably smoother draw and it seemed a little faster.

Is the string callable for being changed on the field like the Matthews V3X, or will it still need a bow press for string changes?
