damn that boyfriend line is so ingrained in women they forget they're married.
😂😂😂
This is underrated !! Only 1 reply?😂😂😂
Interesting how the one woman was defensive at first "what are you selling" until he mentioned New Zealand! All it takes is finding that one connection between people that can bring down the guard between people.
Pretty sure she was super defensive the whole time.
@@nicklandreth2527 Yeah he got caught by her, since she was from NZ she knew his story was bullshit! haha
The last girl was interested until you pulled out the wife. lol She was so confused.
Exactly !
@@tbpp6553i thought i saw a wedding or engagement ring on her ring finger, although im not considering the lens effect that sometimes reverses an image either. it looks like a wedding ring though.
they probably all thought you were swingers lol!
so maybe if he invited a guy it would be more succesful?
@@kirosmatavastros they'd probably think they were bi swingers ...
You realise some people may think it's an invitation to something more than just dinner. There are plenty of people out there who do that sort of thing.
to be honest if someone were to ask me to dinner, i would have thought theyd probably murder me, so no thanks.
I was wondering if it was ok for me to murder..... ahem take you out on a date? This is how it would actually go for me
That excuse (new to America) would have been lying on my part, which I don't do in any of my rejection sessions.
As for freaky sex practice or kidnapping... geez I would have never thought of that. That's a lot of negative imagination to burn. However, I don't blame you a bit with the way news media sensationalize the negative part of our society.
freaky sex practice or kidnapping' like they do in New Zealand.
I love your innocence!
I just found this guy in TED channel and wowwww...he is fff.. awesomeeee..
same here
"Here's my wife . . . she's cute". Awkward!
I feel like this is a big weak spot of mine. I have serious trouble asking girls out. And I can´t remember a single instance where it was so bad...
wait lol there was one. Like 15 years before there was a girl I had a crush on for months. Talking with my best friend every time. And that time where she realized that I was interested in her she really laughed out in the complete class and made fun over me with her friends.
Damn I stopped thinking about it for a long time. But seriously after watching your ted talk and a couple of videos I started to remember a few sentences ago. Maybe this is a good starting point ...
Thanks for your efforts. You really are inspiring people. Keep it up.
So? Did you manage to ask a girl out?
Yeah man what happened, are you still alive?
How are you doing now?
your videos are bizarrely fascinating and satisfying
Wow, this kinda gives me confidence in a weird way, great series dude.
So inspirational. Overcome fears with rejection is a idea i never thought of... niceee
I'm really enjoying this idea. Fear is the number one thing that keeps people from asking or doing what they want. Fear of being judged or seen or ridiculed. Hank Green says that to overcome fear you have to create constantly. I think this rejection therapy is aiding you in suppressing fear really well so much that you can see the fun and learning experience in the small moment of "no" and big moments of "yes." I'm learning a lot! :D
Lol that was awesome, they probably thought you were swingers, I love it!
This was one of the best videos so far. Looked like a lot of fun. I think I might just try that at a store too. I'd love to see the reactions.
Wow, you are so awesome! I've been watching alot of your videos and I'm getting really happy by watching you do this crazy stuff and I think that you spread alot of joy! Keep up the good work!
I'm from nz and we don't ask randoms for dinner
Nikita Callaghan Yeah, you'll probably get chopped to pieces after dinner. That's why people with common sense says 'no'.
It's a good opportunity to start!
:-)
I think he was just making that bit up as an excuse to reduce his embarrassment.
It's definitely a good time to start!
Nikita Callaghan it's probably an Australian thing.
You're awesome and an inspiration!
aye bro you are super brave for this i needed this to help me get over rejection
Jia, I just luv u!!! You have so much integrity for what it is that u do. You took the challenge but u approached it in a way that was true to your wife, true to the women that ur approaching and faced a kind of rejection that is rare to witness and kinda fun to watch. It's funny to see the excuses that people come up with when they really just want to say "NO, I don't kno who u are!" lol, watching u through this journey has helped me tackle rejection in my business altogether differently. Thanx
It's amazing how averse people are to simply saying, "I don't know you and I think it would be awkward" or "I don't completely trust you." Which makes sense, but it's still amazing.
I guess they are trying to be kind
Think this is your best one yet. That would be really hard to do.
Good job!
OMG Jiah! The look on your face when you realized you bought the wrong oil. I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard!
maqclark 4:19 is the time it happens that's powerful observation. You should be the next president.
Glad I stumbled on your channel by accident. You are awesone!
i do get the whole point of the rejection exercise but practicing on something you really want rather than random stuff -which is somehow a different mindset - has more impact
Opatola Ismail Exactly, in this whole exercise he is 'looking for rejection'. It obviously doesn't have the same effect than a rejection in an important situation where you are looking for some degree of success. It is like if you were playing the final in some sport and you were looking to lose, it doesn't have any sense. You don't overcome the fear of rejection with regard to relevant things by exposing yourself to rejection related with irrelevant things. What you are 'treating' there is the fear to make yourself look ridiculous, but the fear to the pain of rejection associated with important thing is a completely different animal. But yeah, these kind of videos or TED talks are like the books of self-help: profitable, popular, but ineffective.
@@coltrane8802 So is there any solution to the fear of rejection for important things? Maybe acting even with fear?
It is a part of the desensitization process. If someone is afraid of spiders and you put a spider in their hand their own reaction may make the fear worse. If you show them a picture of a spider they can probably handle that. Then after looking at pictures for a while they may be able to hold one without freaking themselves out.
Fearless mindset is a state if being you don’t have to practice to achieve this
This is not a scripted show. Everything you see is what naturally happened.
This is pretty funny and I'm learning a lot.
OMG, I had anxiety for him. I'd be absolutely terrified!
The moment when you realize you bought safflower oil instead of sunflower oil...😂😂😂
People would be much less suspicious if you told them you find them attractive lol! I would be creeped out if someone asked me to have dinner with their wife with no reason too!
It is really interesting for me watching this, mentally I think this is a really good idea and I both support you and would be able to do the same. But also my hole body is also screaming ""NOO don´t do it" "it is just embarrassing" and so on.
3 I think a setting in a place where one rarely has conversations like when leaving the grocery store and a little more time to talk with some icebreaker conversation first might have netted a yes.
Yes. I tried different gears. The iPhone was the best combination of quality and ease of operation. I wear it on my neck. When people ask, I just tell them.
PLEASEEEE JIA, answer this one question?! Have you the mobile make it laterally? And how you make iT ! Thank you for your ANSWER ;)
Lol. I just clicked on a random video and found it really interesting! Surprisingly a "supposed dating video" showed something else fun and funny.
"uh huh right" haha omg
Everytime you asked those people that question I was reminded of a crime scene investigation show where the murderer is like "oh yeah yeah I'm a nice guy" *kills* haha
Is it true that NZers invite strangers for dinner? I have been living in NZ for more than 10 years but it's my first time hearing this. If it is true, I would love to try inviting someone :)
I am really curious, if you doing all this rejection stuff.. so how do you find a wife then?!
I will totally sign up for the AMCAB!
Hey Ajah, greetings from south Texas. What you're doing is great. What other language do you speak? You should offer strangers to let you teach them phrases in your native language. That's a pretty strange request
No to laugh with, celebrate birthday’s all this fun time with couples=Love
LOL!! This was the funniest one!! Great!
Jia how do you film during rejection?
U got big balls im 255 pounds, play football but i could not do what u do, good job my brother
Association of Married Couples Against Boyfriends LMFAO, awesome
I think you should throw this request in every time you make a request that involves a lady. Ask for a one day job, ask the lady to dinner. Ask for a girl to teach you how to make tea, ask her to dinner. Ask for a free hotel room, ask the lady to dinner. See how many people you have to ask before someone says yes.
Who else is watching this video because they’re trying to build up the courage to ask out someone they like
"My wife and i" ..but I feel u bro. What's the right way to speak anyway. All languages are arbitrary
it probably would have been better if you also had your wife with you so it's not so odd. I think I would have been more comfortable with that if everyone involved was present. Keep up the good work Jia!
how does he conceal the camera?
are you Indonesian, Heri? I agree with you, these videos are very inspiring..
Going for a Dinner with a stranger can be a little too much. A better choice would be to Invite for tea or coffee
Lol, the moment realized that the safflower oil is not sunflower oil. Killed Me !!
Something tells me some of these women thought you wanted a threesome, and that's why they said no. Very interesting about the Kiwis! (Kiwis are people from New Zealand.)
Haha the oil part was hilarious
I was laughing so hard at the "sunflower" part haha
There is nothing romantic about asking a woman to dinner with you and your wife, but I can see why you would be uncomfortable with that considering you are married.
Im from nz.... ive never been asked for a dinner. Am i missing out on something?
A stranger would be afraid to come at dinner because she can be kidnapped trusting an unknown person
i wouldn't even have asked if i could return the oil...
This 100 days of rejection looks interesting, i like that it's more helpfull than the crap advice everyone gives
Haha that's hilariuosly embarasing, keep asking Jia, someone might accept.
It's an iphone. I was wearing it on my neck, not necessarily hiding it.
Jia and his wife be Swingers!
Is that New Zealand thing true? I can't imagine it being too far-fetched since in Germany, if there around enough free tables at restaurants strangers sit with each other.
I commented before I saw video
1 this reminds me of something that happened to me. I was very depressed and went to a park and was sitting by an herb garden and some people started talking to me about the medicinal herbs and then they sat down and we started talking, I was very depressed at the time and they were trying to help me. It seems we talked an hour or so and the park was closing and they told me they were going to eat and would like to buy me dinner. I was cont
I like the idea, but you should approach them in the store rather than out in the parking lot. Safflower? I wanted sunflower haha.
"What are you selling?" XXXXXXdddddddddd
Did you bring your wife along when you spoke to the women? I wonder if their responses would have changed.
Interesting idea but it doesn't address rejection because it hurts only when you have something to lose and here it's just a fun exercise.
If it was dinner at a restaurant, I think the people you asked would be more inclined to say yes. But you're not looking for yeses so it worked.
definitely liking you a lot more after reading this comment.
HAHAH this was hilarious.
It is strange how society is so averse to doing something with strangers like that. It is interesting. I think you'd have a bit more luck by having some sort of conversation with someone, finding a common interest or topic and THEN asking to dinner. I know your goal here is rejection and not dinners though, so good job :)
I bet you could have talked the dog couple into dinner to ask about their New Zealand experiences.
It is because no one buys dinner for nothing usually. This guy is doing this to gain “rejection”. Imagine if he had to buy 5 dinners he be out of pocket. He would not offer dinner unless to gain something out of which is why many people are suspicious and reject it.
Just like the pick up artist!!! Approach like 100+ people.
Well if people are leaving a grocery store, they gotta go home and put their food in the fridge. Maybe try people leaving a movie theatre at 5 pm
"The last time I did this I ended up marrying that person" -what a BAWS
is he still filming with iphone?
how do you come up with these things?? funny... I would say no too though. If I don't know you or never met you... I'm wondering why your asking...
You should buy google glass once it is out.....its easier to record video with it
he so shock of the question too 2:54 ! lol
Should've told them to bring their boyfriend.
Jia, really? You got married with your wife after you asked to dinner with you?
Lol they probably were afraid you guys were gonna abduct them. Lol. I've been watching too many criminal minds series on tv. Lol
I think would you like to have dinner sounds much better. Yea that one was weird🤣🤣
That's what rejection therapy is looking for - a NO. As for how I come up with these things. I take out a blender, put in a little bit of humor, some craziness, a spoon of creativity, then some orange juice and milk, blend and drink it. These ideas just start to pop out like eggs from a chicken.
i see what your doing which helps with he fear. your goal is rejection and not acceptance. interesting concept to help with anything in life. aim for the opposite and you do much better.
Ehh idk about that
My Uncle is homeless & whenever he comes over with my grandmother (which is rarely) he gets a little too attatched to the house. (He can't stay because we don't have enough to support him & he also smokes soo)
I feel that if he invited a random homeless person, they'd know where he lives & might even ask to stay for a bit or lurk around the house
It actually is Wife and I. Wife and I and dinner and me are two different sentences so there not the same.
Is new zee lund near New York?
Very cool.
Actually both of those sentences are correct.
but..
Me love you.
I love you.
Which sounds correct?
I LOVE YOU
I didn't know my country was known for asking strangers for dinner...lies? Or should I say justified falsetellings?
Wow! This was really interesting! We can't, we have to go back to our dog? Whaaaat? Definitely there will be random results with random encounters, both good and bad, we know that. Still. This was....I dunno. I hoped someone would have said yes to your request. I would have.
That looks like the whole foods in arboretum.
You're great Jia, love from India man.
I'm sure having a non imaginary wife would make things easier
Ok, that was the best part when you saw you bought the wrong oil
It would be interesting to see the different reactions if a female asked them to dinner.
assian people are awsome i wish like them if this hurt u guys feelings im sorry i always wanted to be assian
