- Let's take a look at the Legendary Mcculloch Power Mac 6 Vintage Chainsaw. Touted "The World's lightest Chainsaw" back in the day, it was a little Animal for its size! Still plenty around still ruinning after 50 years! This particular example is one I finally got going for a Subscriber, Robert, so I figured might as well make a video!

Sweet sounding little Mac!
They make thier own tune!😉
Sweet little video. Thanks Dan! 🙏
Glad you liked it!😉
Great job on the saw, she sounds real good! Those ol' Mac 6's, solid limbing chainsaws!
You got that right!😉
Just got mine running!! Cool little saw!
Right on!😁
That is a super cool little saw!
Love the sound they make!
That saw sounds really mean for it’s size. And no chain brake, it’s got to be respected! Nice work getting her running.
Thanks 👍😁
Nice. I can’t wait to get mine running.
Right on!
Nice one!
😁
Nice Lil Saw 😮😊😀👍🏼
😉
Thank for the video. I have one just like this. Only need to make it run soon. 👍🏻
Right on😁
Glade to see you!
Thanks Bill!😁
It sounds like a poulan 245a to me I can’t unhear it 😂
I've got 2 of the Mini Mac's. They are incredibly powerful little beasts. You can use it all day limbing and bucking small to medium trees and never get tired
Great little saws!
Sweet!! I have seen a lot of minimacs for sale around here but yet to see a power mac 6. Super cool old saw👍👍👊
Thanks Andrew!
Very difficult to work on lol.
Tell me about it🤣
More old school cool! 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Always!😉
Nice video, these mini macs are plentiful and cheap. I like them. Def one of the more "Still very useful" old saws. Many vintage saws to me are super fun, but just don't have the power to weight to make me actually wanna grab them for a job. The Pro Mac 60, 55 and the 7-10 are like that. They def have the power to weight for me to actually grab it for a job....just not a long job because of no anti vibe. 😅
Totally agree man, the little guy still holds its own after all these years!
Yeah way cool, I just today picked up a vintage small mac eager beaver 3.4 55cc ton of fun right, dang she got some pep cutting good.
Little Animals!
Thanks man 😁
Yeah for sure with those eager beavers you see plenty of the 2.0 and below 3 but I hardly ever see the 3.4 or the 3.7 so I snatched it up almost close to a 10-10 i think if you get a 3.7@@KainKustomGarage
Wicked info on it, dude, my husband and I just picked one of these up at our local dump's free pile. It still seems to have good compression so we're going to clean it up a bit and see if it runs.
Awesome, snappy little saws, loud as he'll though🤪
@@KainKustomGarage This one's gonna be super loud, it's missing its muffler. Thankfully it's the one with the metal pull start!
i love chainsaws from my childhood
😁

It sure does sound like a full size saw!
I know right!
I think they were said to be 6# for just the powered and no fluids.
Yeah I could see that just for the power head. They are light! Especially cool since they are all metal (prob magnesium....if you take a drop of vinegar - bare mag will fizz, aluminum wont)
I was wondering about that 🤔
@@KainKustomGarage Yep it's a great way to tell the difference. I always assumed the clone kit saws used aluminum for the cases and other metal parts, but I tested them and the two I have built (farmertec 372 and 440) have been magnesium. Which surprised me.
Do you have a good carburetor for one of these saws? How about a functioning recoil/starter assembly? I need both of those items and would be interested in buying them from you. Thanks for your time.
Yes, have lots of parts...email me at kainkustom@charter.net
Mine does have the buckin spike.
Nice!
Those power Mac 6 are easy work on compared to those 110 120 .to bad McCulloch went down that path thanks
Agreed there! They aren't too bad after you get used them.
Thanks man 😁
Looks like my comment referencing Animal House disappeared.
Haha, I didn't even get a chance to see it....lol
The scene with the no longer living horse in Dean Wormer's office.😁@@KainKustomGarage
Loud as hell back then
I know right!
Worlds most dangerous chainsaw. Many a digits and limbs have been lost to that little guy.
🤣🤣
Someone who had no business operating a chain saw losing a digit doesn't make the chainsaw dangerous. It makes the person who loses a finger dangerous with a chainsaw.
Thanks so much Dan, I appreciate it so much. I will email you my address.
Love ya Brother!😁
