- The McCulloch 35 and Super33 Chainsaws built in the 50s, Super Weird, or Way ahead of their time?? Mcculloch was always thinking outside the box but sometimes it just made things Weird and hard to work on, What do you guys think? I was pleasantly surprised to get this one running without much effort, as I've had a couple before and the "Carb" was crap on them and they were basically Wall Art boat Anchors🤣🤣

Strange, but very cool!
It growing on me...lol
That thing is weird but super cool
I'm starting to like it😁
The engine sound reminds of my Dad's old Yamaha dirtbike he had in the 70's.
A very distinct sound for sure😉
Definitely runs good for a weird old beast,..Chainsaw runs good too 😂😂😂😂
Haha! Thanks Robert 🤪
The lever on top is what mcculloch called the High Speed Mixture Control. Forward it leans it out, backwards it makes the mixture richer
Ahh, nice....thanks man
Never seen one in the Uk , thanks for sharing 👍💨💨
Thanks for watching!😉
I would love to get a McCulloch 3-10E
.I am so glad you are saving those classics
Thanks man 😉
That saw is wicked! Dan, dude another beast for the collection! Good hunting on the next relic!
Thanks Brother, Super 33 is on its way😁
Super cool video Dan! Love stopping by your channel to see what you’re up to buddy! Good olde iron.. and man! can that ever throw some chips! Next time you have some bigger logs in the woodyard you’re gonna have to bring er back out for round 2 lol 🔥💯👍🤜🤛. Take care man! Cheers! Andrew from NB, Canada :)
Thanks Andrew, appreciate you as always Sir😁
That is a cool, but weird saw Dan. I'm surprised it has a clutch. I figured it'd be a direct drive. What got me the most is the carburetor. Looks like changing the points out would be a dream but rebuilding that carburetor would be something new to me. If you ever rebuild that carb please do a video cause I'd love to get a look at it and I'm probably not the only one.
Thanks Chris, yeah, someone else commented saying the Carb is aircraft inspired, very interesting....I'm afraid to take it apart, looks complicated 😬
Very nice vintage saw 🎉🎉🎉🎉 👍
Thank you! Cheers!😉
That saw cuts surprisingly well for it age and oversized chain. I couldn't tell if you pumping the oiler or not but that would make it even faster lol. Ive got a 33 and a 35 but they dont run well enough to actually cut. But they are really neat to look at.
Thanks Brother, yeah I've had a couple before this one that didn't run either, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one!😁
Yup mcculloch innovation..making clamshell saws long before poulan department store saws🤣
Those are cool tho
Haha! Thanks man 😉
Cool saw man. That thing rips! I have two of those. One with this logo and one with the mac in the box logo. Both 35a.
Super cool, I have a Super 33 on its way, hopefully it runs🤞
@@KainKustomGarage i saw that in another vid. I like those with the old style logo and the writing on the side. 👌🏻
😎 👍👍😊
Cool saw! I recently got a super 33 and its in great shape and runs. I am going to keep it because its so unique.
That is awesome! Can't wait to get this Beast running!
They are cool saws ,, but those carburetors on them can be a nightmare to work on for an inexperienced guy,I have found that out,, watched alot of videos on these,,,,another cool video Dan, old school is cool
Thanks Mark, appreciate it Brother 😁
Awesome Dan. I hope your spine bone didn't damage when lifting it.. :)))
Really cool to see such an old thing still performing..
Surely the speed of the chain is much slower (low rpm plus gearbox). But i'm sure you could run super long bars with its huge torque.
Question: Half inches chain?
I only know 7/16 and 0.404.
7/16 are not available anymore as far as I know. At least here in Europe.
Would you still get a chain for the Mac?
Best wishes
Marco
Thanks Marco, yeah She's a heavy old Beast. Yes, 1/2 inch chain....can still be found on Ebay but expensive! Appreciate it Brother 😉
Oh. Máy cổ quá đã anh ơi
Bro I just picked one up at a estate sale it’s locked up and I dread it looks complicated but it’s definitely sweet looking
They are different for sure!
I just bought one.........I hope it wasn't a mistake but I am going to be a two stroke guru if it kills me😅😅😅
Haha! It will challenge you, you got this!
I have one of those. An integrated carb, what a great idea! NOT! You know what, after looking close at yours, mine might be a super 33. Same stupid carb tho.
@@Vizslarunner99 No asshole.
Yeah, super weird....aircraft inspired apparently 🤔
