I find everyone really overexagerated the badness of Big's levels. That said his stages really do not belong in a platforming game. They fixed Big in Sonic Heroes and that Sonic RPG, I honestly would like to see more of him.

SEGA was trying to push a fishing peripheral they made for the Dreamcast, and so they forced Big's inclusion to get players to get them to use it. Needless to say, not only did the peripheral not sell, Big's inclusion pissed players off....mainly because his style of gameplay doesn't really belong in this game. Overall, Big as a character is very endearing, and most people don't really hate him, especially since he's incredibly well-written in the current Archie comics. but again, he has very little reason to be here, in Sonic Adventure.
You mean Chronicles? It's not like he did much in that game either story wise. Only reason why you needed him was because Omega can't go through hazards requiring Invincibility III (plus, he's optional too). Guess there's the combo attacks though.
+Dracomut Well aside from the Echidnas anyways. Panders really loves his Echidnas. Guess that's why he just had to take all but Knuckles, Tikal, and Pachacamac and keep them for himself.
I love Big the Cat. Why all the hate for him? He's adorable and he's fun to play as in Sonic Heroes. The only thing I will say that I don't like about him is the fact that he sounds like a slightly more intelligible Sylvester Stallone. 8:50 That whole dialogue is dripping with innuendo. When you're "fishing" you gotta wiggle the "lure." Press "down" on the "Left Stick" quickly when the "fish" is on. And "tug" the "rod" according to the movements of the "fish." Don't fight the "fish" Eventually the "fish" will tire out and it's yours.

Big the Cat really is like the Jar Jar Binks of this series. The fact that he has the most power ups of all the characters in the game is a testament to how much they wanted you to like him. I can practically hear the game director telling his employees that "Big is the key to all this".
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. PLEASE do more single player games on TheRunawayGuys. It's so nice to see humor from this channel other than the normal competition. While the competition is funny, it's so refreshing (and hilarious) to see you guys breaking games like this or just making fun of the games you're playing rather than tearing each other apart.
I can already see how much chaos will ensue during Big's story, and I absolutely LOVE IT! I've loved this LP so far, and I'm going to really enjoy Big's story if it's going to be like this for the entire story.
Big the Cat was literally the reason I quit Sonic Adventure. Never finished the game, never saw Gamma, never cared enough to go back and suffer through it. Thank goodness, for Let's Plays and the magic of video editing (and amusing commentary of course).
i know thats why i am saying longer videos or make this episode a bonus video nothign was accomplished here and that sums up the problem with this LP its just the TRG waisting time instead of playing the game and thats not what they tend to do

"I must save Froggy!!" *sees it's Jon's turn* Think I know where this episode is going...or rather where it isn't going. I think Big actually says "Ouch" when the elevator doors close on his tail. Two of them are actual upgrades. The others are lure power-ups. Still important for the A level missions though. Big also has the distinct honor of having a power-up hidden in an Action Stage whereas Amy is the only one to get them through a minigame.
Big the Cat beating everyone with the fishing rod. XD I knew I was looking forward to this from the start but man, it was even better. :D Also, you CAN see him in SA2 during some cutscenes. If you move the camera at the right time, you'll see him run by the doorway or standing somewhere I believe.:)
I love Big, he's like... the owl from the OVA or something... except he fishes. Like he has NO BUSINESS being there, but he still is. It's hilarious, even moreso in SA2.

best episode so far. i love it when jon starts to play. gonna make me sad when its all over and there will be no more solo jon playing for a while
I love how this LP is basically more messing around than actually playing the game. I had tears in my eyes the entire time.
And this is pretty much Jon's chance to shine like no other.
Big was also in every stage of Sonic & The Secret Rings, 'seeing' him unlocked a cutscene in the cutscene viewer for each level
You have no idea how long it took to fish this gem out of my sub box. I guess you could say, my excitement for this episode was quite "big."
Note to self: make popcorn when Jon takes control of Big. I've a feeling we'll be at this story for a while.
Big the Cat wanting to mate with Froggy, and him running away, is clearly a parallelism to Amy and Sonic
I love Big, he's like... the owl from the OVA or something... except he fishes.
Like he has NO BUSINESS being there, but he still is. It's hilarious, even moreso in SA2.
