  • (2003) Kobe scored 40pts vs Portland - his 8th straight game with at least 40.
    Date: February 21th, 2003
    Results: L.A won 92 - 84
    Stats: 40pts on 15/32 shooting incl 3/7 from 3pt line, 7rbds
    Peach: O'Neal was back after missing 3 games but once again Kobe was the story. No matter which player was garding him (Pippen, Patterson or Wells), he just kept scoring.
    Quote: "Kobe's playing at an unbelievable level! I think I'm an all-right defender & Ruben Patterson is an alright defender, but he still made us like we were no defenders."
    Bonzy Wells, Portland TrailBlazers.
    Anecdote: Limited to 38pts, Kobe hit his final shot with 8 seconds remaining, giving him 40 for the 8th straight time.

    That last play was crazy, you could tell they really didn’t want him to get 40 so they doubled him and he still found a way to score and keep the streak going. Best offensive player ever

    have u seen kobe's offensive explosions??? 81 points, most 3 pointers in a game, youngest to reach 20,000 while still not playing a lot during his early years, 4 straight 50 point games, 9 straight 40 point games!!!! and outscored the mavs in 3 quarters!!!!

    im a kobe fan.
    I wish that kobe was this energetic and had this kind of thing every game before he will retire. and how did drose get mvp this year out of all teams wen kobe got it wen he played in the allstar game?!? And i bet kobe is still this energetic and fun as this but just wants the money in the world. i believe that kobe can
    - take flight
    -rise above all
    -change the game
    - and become a legend
    Just like Michael Jordan
    Kobe is basically our generation Michael Jordan.

    listen guys, i grew up watching and loving michael jordan. He's the greatest player of his time. Kobe is now the greatest player of his time. bottom line is this....mj was too much for the nba in his time. kobe is not as much for the nba now as jordan was in his prime with the bulls. without mj there wouldn't be a kobe or a lebron. these guys gotta give props to mj for doing what he did and for preparing the way for players like we see today. mj revolutionize the nba that's why he's the goat.

  • @Jumpman1989
    @Jumpman1989 Před 15 lety +1

    kobe has propably one of the best (if not the best) pull up jumper but he is way slower than MJ in his prime that's why he rarely drives to the basket.
    Just take a look at young Jordan and his unbeliveable quickness and acceleration.

    Yes, Kobe is and was a far more creative player on the court. you just dont know what hes going to do at any given second of any game you watch him play. Sometimes the more injured he is the more amazing the shot or play.

  • @rodney1b
    @rodney1b Před 11 lety +1

    dude Kobe shooting range on offensive end all most anywhere on the court and on the defensive one on one he always made great plays/blocks create turnovers his whole career especially in the cluch so I think you're bit off on your judgments, plus ones a small forwd and bigger he have to cover more space especially on the inside but on the perimeter d Kobe got him no question!

    funny thing about it is that kobe wasnt even in his prime when shaq was there...he was what only 23... lol thats the same age russell westbrook is, Kobe was just that damn good at such a young age, had a grown mans game coming in to the league, could cross you up, dunk over you, shoot over you, and give you the business in the post and lock down your best perimeter guy smh

  • @brwnbear
    @brwnbear Před 16 lety +1

    the only reason kobe only averages 25points is because he didn't play a lot his first few years. If you take those years off he would have a larger scoring avg. I also agree that Kobe is a better Offensive player. Jordan is better all around but i think kobe is a better offensive player. Kobe has to play against a lot harder defenses than jordan did. remember that zone defense wasn't even allowed when jordan played! this is only my opinion!

    This vid is good for the Kobe haters saying that lebron is better than Kobe was at 23 years old. This is what Kobe did every game. Obviously some games he would have to share points with shaq just bcuz shaq WAS that dominating. Kobes shot and foot work was wayyy better than lebrons at 23/24! People gta stop being ignorant and not talk unless they know what they're saying.
