I believe they are pre-recorded), so only having one person on each harmony is going to make it sound funky no matter what when you compare it to the soundtrack or an actual performance of the show.

I saw it just before it closed and saw this cast and the understudy for Veronica who blew it out of the water! She was amazing and gave a very different read on the role which I kinda liked better. So glad the show is finally licensed by Samuel French and can be performed by colleges and community and regional theaters etc. Yeah!
