Honestly, slimeball in crafting with arrows should make the arrows be able to bounce, would be interesting twist in a closed room pvp
and an enchantment that increases the bounce limit before it despawns
It should also bounce if it hits slime blocks

I think this would be awesome for a quirky enchantment.
The enchantment would be called “Ricochet I”. For balancing/logic purposes, it would only bounce off of blocks with smooth materials(which could be sorted by their sound effect type, since that also sorts them in matter of material). So, it would be especially useful for caves, where everything is surrounded floor-to-ceiling with rocks and ores.
Of course, for balancing/incentive reasons, you could give them a slight damage boost. Not as much as Power, mind.

Also they could just make it so Ricochet arrows do 0 damage to other players, since we already know from Smite/Bane of Arthropods that mobs can have different damage values based on enchantments
In Minecraft Dungeons. there’s a Ricochet enchantment but it only bounces arrows towards other mobs to hit them, not off the walls.
You might be thinking of Power, not Punch.
Punch is knockback, Power is damage

This would honestly make a great quality-of-life mod. Except it only bounces off of hard block like block of iron, rock and glass, and stick into soft blocks like wood, grass and sculk, for example.
Bounces extra on slime and goes through honey, but when goin thru honey it slows down
arrows are meant to pierce metals, glass would just shatter, and rocks would be chipped. It is literally bouncy due to it’s arrowhead, so it’d bounce off of everything. Why not just have a separate crafting recipe?

Seeing a sphere in Minecraft is so cursed. Reminds me of a time when some mod added a block called Impossible Object and it was just a sphere-shaped "block".
Idea, try and have it so that arrows only bounce off of certain blocks like stone and bricks, but will stick into others like hay bales and wood.
Dang with some polish this could make a cool "slimeball arrow" for a mod.
